B767-300 crew messages player panel

HI,

when I press a button on the crew messages player panel, nothing happens. ( no announcements )
When I open the sound folder in the explorer and click on the .wav files the recorder plays the messages properly.
I have the same trouble with the B727.
Someone described the same problem already in this forum, however, there is no answer how to solve this.
What can I do to correct this?
With kind regards
Wilhelm

Hi Wilhelm,

Most of problems occurs during installation procedure.

Try to delete CS B-767's register data (as administrator) before reinstall the add-on, following the next steps:

Uninstall  / Delete all CS B-767's register data [ start > regedit.exe > Captain Sim > 767CAPTAIN > delete all files (Standard/FLT/RegCode/RegName/support/tpl/version)] / Restart PC / Reinstall.

Best regards,

Pinatubo.

Well, maybe your downloaded 767.exe file is corrupted. Let's try a new way, downloading a new one using CS > Home > Support > Your profile > B-767 > Extended Download Service.

Tell us if the problem persist. Ok?

Pinatubo.

Open sound.cfg file located in C : Program Files/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Captain Sim/767

[Common]
Refresh.Time=10
Sound.Directory=Captain_Sim\767\sound
SoundOffWhenSimIsSlew=1 Change 1 to 0 so it reads SoundOffWhenSimIsSlew=0
SoundOffWhenSimIsPaused=1
SoundOffWhenSimDialogIsOpen=1
SoundOffWhenSimSoundIsOff=1
Fn.Play.Name=fnSndPlayVar
Fn.Stop.Name=fnSndStopVar
Fn.IsPlay.Name=fnSndIsPlayVar
Fn.Loop.Name=fnSndLoopVar
Fn.Enable.Name=fnSndEnableVar
Fn.Enable.All.Name=fnSndEnableAllVar
Fn.Disable.Name=fnSndDisableVar
Fn.Disable.All.Name=fnSndDisableAllVar
Fn.Rewind.Name=fnSndRewindVar
Fn.SetVolume.Name=fnSndSetVolumeVar
Fn.GetVolume.Name=fnSndGetVolumeVar

Save the file. This should fix the problem.

Thanks Paul!
In B767-300 I changed that value  from 1 to 0. The announcement are now working properly.

I tried the same procedure for the B727 but to no avail.
What could I do to get the voices working for the B727 as well?

I'm glad it worked for you.

I don't know about the 727, since I don't have this bird. I know that this fix works also with the 757.

To get them working in the 727, I just reload it using either ALT > A > A > ENTER or the Keyboard Shortcut I created for reloading the aircraft, CTRL+R.

Not sure of exactly what you are asking there, but I'll try anyway.
There are two ways to open the 2D Crew Messenger panel:
1. Press SHIFT + 2 to open the SimIcons Panel and then click on the speaker icon, the right icon on the second row  (2B in the manual).
2. Press SHIFT + 5 to open it without opening the SimIcons Panel.

If you can't hear them, then you need to do what Paul787 showed in his reply:
