Here's what it looks like. I found a picture.



I voted for the Mercury, but I looked up the RC-135, and it is pretty awesome-looking. The Dash 80 doesn't look very different from the 707-200, but the novelty of having the first jetliner would be pretty neat.

Well, the first jetliner is the deHavilland Comet. One is being made by Just Flight. The second to fly is the Sud Avaitaion Caravelle, but it took a while to get funding to carry out the project, unlike the French government's subsidies now!

Ah, right. I'm sorry, I mean the Dash-80 was truly modern jetliner so to speak. By that I mean it was the first to put engines on struts (and under the wings period) and what set the basis for future jetliners. Or something like that...  Wink

Of course, it never flew commercially, so it's not really in the same league as those other jetliners...

Yes. The Caravelle was also modern as well, with tail mounted engines like the DC-9.

JT3C/JT4A and Conway powered 707s, preferably with water injection!  Cheesy
