B757 on the ground restart

I have been over the manual and advice from your site and I still can't restart the engines ON THE GROUND after shut down.  The left fuel switch on the pedestal stays in the down postion and the fuel lites are out on the fuel panel after I try to spoll up?  Is there some one who can give me a clear sequence on how to restart the engines that I can understand, I'm not a pilot.  All I see on your site is wait untill N2 shows 12 or 22 depending on engine before engaging a fuel switch. Is that the fuel switch on the pedestal or do I hold the ctrl+E down to keep on spooling up?  I'm using a CH Quadrant with the red fuel leavers in the forward position to try to control the fuel switch on the pedestal.

Thanks TBenn

Never use ctrl+E to start the engines. In that case left fuel control lever won't work!
