727-200 Pro Line 2.4 problems with autopilot.

Having down loaded and installed 727-200 Pro Line 2.2, found airport animated loading vehicles and jet way did not operated. Advised to down load and install, 727-200 Pro Line 2.4 when installed would solve the problem. 727-200 Pro Line 2.4  did solve that probem, but created a new one, that is the autopilot in the 727-200 is now partly no functional.

So that situation now stands as: 727-200 Pro Line 2.2 provides an operating autopilot, without airport animated loading vehicles and jet way in operation.

727-200 Pro Line 2.4 provides  operating airport animated loading vehicles and jet way, without an operating autopilot.

If you have FSX SP2 installed without Acceleration then this fix might help you:

Check in to Your Profile > Select product > Customer Support > Search KB Search KB #4897. There is a link to download an updated Captain_Sim.p721.sys.gau

Hope this helps

Markoz,

Thankyou for your reply.

Have FSX and Acceleration installed, therefore I should not install the file you suggested? Would that be the case?

You have Acceleration so you don't need to download that file.

Although I don't have any problems with the AP in v2.4, it is a bit more sensitive than the AP in v2.3. For catching a Localizer and GS, it is best to get into position quite a distance out from the runway threshold, to give yourself the best chance of a successful landing.

Found the sulution to the problems, earlier mentioned.

If 727-100 Base Pack 2.4 is combined with 727-200 Base Pack 2.4 we have, fully operational autopilot, operating animated loading vehicles, operating jet ways, superb external lights and all internal sounds, such as captain at flight deck and cabin crew.

Hi Sanal.

There isn't a 727-200 Base Pack. The Base Pack is the 727-100, the rest are Expansion Models.
The 727-200 Expansion Models and 727 Freighter Expansion Models don't work without having the 727-100 Base Pack :-

The '727 Captain' family includes the following three products:

     • 727-100 Base Pack
     • 727-200 Expansion model
     • 727 Freighter Expansion model

I misunderstood above statement.
Thanks

Markoz,

Appriciate bringing to my attention description error, using the term 'Base Pack' in assciation with 727-200.

727 grouping comes as: 727-100 Pro Pack 2.2 size 48.4 MB
                                   727-100 Base Pack 2.4 size 50.7 MB
                                   727-200 Expansion Model 2.2 size 13.1 MB
                                   727-200 Expansion Model 2.4 size 12.4 MB
727-200 Freighter Expansion Model 2.4  size 17.1 MB.

Best result came, using 727-100 Base Pack 2.4 and 727-200 Expansion Model 2.4. This combination solved problems mentioned previously.

Apologize if any incorrect terminologies have been used, that may confuse  readers.

'727-100 Pro Pack' product name was changed to '727-100 Base Pack', so basicly we are speaking about using the latest version. You should always use the latest one.
