How to get VNAV working correctly

Hi,

Just bought the CS757 and really enjoying flying it.

My only problem is that I'm not sure how to use VNAV correctly. Now I own the another company 737/747 and I thought that once I hit VNAV that the plane would just fly the FMC set speed and I could move the joystick throttle back to idle.

The problem is that when I push VNAV I still have to control the speed with my joystick throttle, is this normal?

Can someone please offer some advice so I can get this working correctly.

Do you hit CMD button to make VNAV work? Also your Autothrottle switch should be ON.
