Just thought I'd give those of you proficient enough in texture editing the heads up, though I bet many must have found out already

The layout of the 707 Captain texture files is very close to the Legendary  707 for FS9 ones, meaning with a little bit of rotating images around and converting them to the right format, Legendary 707 textures can be used on the FSX 707 Captain.

Of course transparency doesn't work exactly the same and the FS9 textures have a much lower resolution so you'll loose some of the visual awesomeness of the new model. The result is far from perfect, but those old textures work just fine as placeholders while we patiently await the CS liveries from the 1.1 upgrade (and possibly some McPhat ones hint hint )

I'm not going to go into details on how to make those textures work on the FSX model, I'll let you figure it out (pretty easy...) and I will not share the liveries I've converted, because for one thing they're someone else's work and because they don't help showing the new model in all the positive light it deserves. It won't be long before 1.1 is released and they'll all be made completely obsolete anyway...
