The landing lights on the wing root work fine. The gear light is operated by the wheel well light (last one to right) switch. I can't get it to go off automatically upon retraction; it flashes on and off. So for now if you want to use this, you'll have to switch off the wheel well light manually to make the effect at the nose of the airplane go away. I did not call it a landing light because if it went out automatically upon gear retraction, it would shut off the fixed landing lights, too.
The wheel well lights themselves are there; just remove the semicolon in front of them. Honestly, they're quite hard to see on the ground.
The retractable landing lights look like they would suffer from wing flex. I haven't tried them yet.
