Not much going on here right now so I'll post a link to a video of my 4th flight in the CS 727. Not very experienced with more complex stuff, but it looks OK--- except for the touch down. Check out the FO trip to the head!

Bruce,

One BIG error... where was the crew meal???

Very cool!

The F/O must have had a prostate problem, in that he returned to the lav twice. Grin

Too bad the don't sink is there at the end. I got rid of it by simply going into the sounds in FSX and re-naming GPWS_dont_sink to GPWS_dont_sink_mute. All the other warnings work, and if I find I need this warning for some other plane I can just re-name it again.

This looks like the landing I saw in another of your videos. You had just a small amount of left wing low during the last 50 feet or so. That's all it takes to start a drift. Try using a bit of rudder and keep the wings level during the flare. Most pilots tend to land on "their" side of the runway. F/O's on the right, Captains on the left. This was something we worked on during training to insure a landing in the center of the runway.

I don't own a video camera, but the other day I tried a video with my cell phone camera to show you several autopilot approaches. The video from the phone is too poor to be of much use, so I'll just have to track down a good camera some day.

Lou -

Yes, it was the same landing. I posted the entire video, mainly for the F/O trip to the head!! I laughed my a__ off making that!! Btw, I put him on Avadart!

I am going to try that don't sink fix.

Lou, buy FRAPS for video capture it is terrific!! Don't use a camera!

Now for the good news!!! I just completed a perfect flight from MEM to SDF!!! I used the AP pitch up/down and it worked very well. I never got below about 280kts all the way to cruise at FL290. The coupled approach using GSAuto took me right down to the runway threshold and I was dead center on the centerline!! I got a bit behind on power a couple times during the approach, but was able to recover. I am ecstatic!  Cheesy  I started a 400second instant replay of the landing so I could show you a video of it, but the sim crashed after I took the first clip. No clue why!?? Never happened before.

Had big trouble trying to land in STL though prior to the SDF flite. Am going to start a new thread on that. But right now it's cocktail hour in the Rockies!! Cheers!
