Accessing Interior Cabin Views

There are a number of interior cabin views shown on the product preview page that I can not figure out how to access. The Galley, head, rear stairs etc. Is there a master view access function? The Galley and Passenger seat views available in the Cockpit List do not allow for these views. Anyone??

This question has been already answered in Manuals.

CS -

Well, I just went through all 3 manuals again (for about the 6th time) and I can not find anything on accessing interior views. I also spent time looking in the Knowledge Base. I can access the Passenger and Galley views as offered in the Cockpit drop down list, but can not seem to find a number of the views shown in the product preview page. I am of the opinion, at this point, that some of the views shown are not available and that the actual product differs from the website in this regard. I would appreciate an answer other than *look in the manual*.

Can anyone else be more helpful?

Bruce the views your looking for are not standard views like the galley and passenger cabin. In the product preview the cameras views have been moved manually for marketing purposes,Either via the hatswitch or standard view key commands.eg Ctrl+Shift+Enter/return; Also look in your kneeboard for these view commands...
Use your "A" key to cycle through the views.

Thank you Berlopez!!

The Hat Switch won't get you these views. I think you are correct about the marketing thing. I will look further into the knee board, but I doubt I'll be able to figure out how to move the 3d eye point around in the Galley and Passenger Cabin. It probably is possible, though my bourbon soaked 72 year old brain may not be up to it.??? Anyway thanks for the reply!

Berlopez, CS & Mark -

Okay, finally figured it out thanks to Berlopez, and I think Mark may have mentioned it before also. Using the view commands in the Knee Board (also control keys section I would assume). Can move eye point anywhere in the cabin and then zoom and pan for the desired view!! Terrific!! I guess Capt Sim figured everyone knew this. Don't know why it's not in the manual though???

Thanks gents!

btscott: Great you figured it out! I have a MS sidewinder II and via the hat switch I can pan around any view.It hacks a lot. ie when you press you "A" key you'll cycle through all the interior views, when I get to the passenger wing view I pan left to see the interior of the cabin...aisle, backrest etc... If I want to look,or arrange my view higher or lower I adjust using keys Ctrl+Enter; Ctrl+return; Shift+Enter;Shift+Return. If I waant to center it again I hit the spacebar. Why is nnot included in the mnual is anybodies' guess...Maybe the captains took it for granted that simmers would figure this out as a standard feature in FS? Anyway glad you figured it out.

Berlopez --

Yes, it really works great!! Go anywhere and look around-- raising and lowering the view point. Truly amazing. CS did a great job on the interior views as well as the rest of the plane. Very realistic.

Thanks to guys like you and Mark, and others, features and fixes can make this sim much more enjoyable and a lot more fun. Along with Jet Pilot and Lou the readers of this forum have invaluable resources at hand!!! Why CS isn't more user friendly in this regard is beyond me.

Thanks again for your help!!

The default for centering  the the view (reset the eyepoint) is Ctrl+SPACE. I can only do what you do, Bernardo, ONCE. From then on, I get the + symbol in the center of my screen and this allows me to do this: If you hold the SPACE BAR and move you mouse pointer around, you point of view follows the mouse. It is handy for looking around the virtual cockpit. Another handy one is if you are holding the SPACE BAR and use the mouse wheel you can also zoom in and out. It's the next best thing if you don't have a TrackIR!

The information is there in the HELP\LEARNING CENTER. You just need to look around. You will find quite a lot of useful information in there.

Hope this helps

I have a Track IR.
It's a bit disturbing until you get used to it.
It makes you sit up straight so I guess that is a good thing.  Roll Eyes

I have a TrackIR 4 Pro (since November 2005) and as Lou says, it takes a bit of getting used to, but its really a great device. I'm considering buying the TrackIR 5, but haven't decided yet.

I really must fix or replace my Headphones so I can use it again. Sad

I bought Track IR about 7-8 years ago and sent it back after a couple days. Didn't work very well. I am sort of a KISS principle guy at present!
