Something I've Noticed

With both the 757 and 767 I have noticed that when I fly using heading select, and no Lnav or Vnav,  that I will have to move the heading to a few degrees to the right of where the actual heading is for your flight plan, am I doing something wrong in pre flight or is this typical of these planes?

It could possibly be the wind. If not then I cant offer anything else.

If it didn't make much sense, lets say your heading on the flight plan is 24, then I will have to move the knob to 26 so it will fly on 24, does that clear it up any more?

Do you read this on the ND? You set the heading you want to fly 024 but yoy have to steer 026 due to wind. You can steer 026 but the same time track 024 due to wind. I dont know if that will help.
Do you end up at the destination?  Smiley

thanks, that explination is a little clearer. I'll keep that in mind next time I fly with heading select.
