Just a question before I buy. Do the frame rates for the Freighter run about the same as the pax model. I know mileage may vary but as a rule does anybody see any increase with the Freighter.

I'm running an Intel 2.6 GHz processor at ultra high settings (Acceleration w/ ATI 4650 HD) and I get same fps as -300 and even default planes.

Guys, with that specs you might think of tweaking FSX a bit.

Hello,
I do not understand one thing. Specifications of my computer is listed below in signature. When I fly another plane (default or addon), I have about 60-70fps on high settings and resolution 1920x1080, it is great. But when I load the 767CS, the framerate decreases to very unplayable 13-15fps. I tried everything, change settings to low, change settings in the fsx.cfg file and nothing hepls, the fps rised only to 14-16fps. Can you pleasy tell me why this happens? I know that FSX has very badly optimised engine, but decrease to 15fps from 60fps is very large.
I bought the computer for his ability to play this addon, but the fps is the same with my notebook  Cry Cry Cry

No, when I turn the preview on, the antialising do not work and the quality of picture is bad Undecided

You'll never see 60 fps with the airplane, but you should be able to get higher than 15.  My recommendation, after making sure Accelleration is installed, is to dial back your settings to the bare minimum and see what kind of frame rates you get.  Then start adding more, starting with whatever is most important to you, until you reach a compromise between settings and frame rates.

I have a very similar system to yours and have it locked at 25.  Occasionally I'll see 19 fps briefly, but it runs quite well.

Turning Preview DirectX 10 ON actually reduces the frame rates. I think  mbucholski was asking if you had it enabled, and not suggesting you turn it on. Wink

Thanks, I will try lower settings, but it is bad. I hope next service pack for the CS767 will solve this problem Undecided Is it needed to install acceleration? I have fsx sp1 and sp2 installed. I do not fly the f16, only the big ones Smiley
My landing captured by fraps. 7fps with fraps, 13 without fraps - unwatchable Undecided It is watchable only when I look straight forward - no turning head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dA3y0xJH1Cw

Yes, I know, i tried to turn it on four months ago Smiley

Are you Polish, @Karolina?

I think you should play a bit with your video card settings (dunno of a nhancer for ATIs) and fsx.cfg. With that hardware you should reach 20fps with no problems. For me it worked (fps increase from 9 to approx 18, so it's not that dramatic now).

No, I am from Czech Republic Smiley
I tried all of the tweaks listed in the file I posted to rapidshare (.zip with a few pictures), it is all I found about tweaking fsx.cfg. Everything works very good with default planes (from 20-30fps with default fsx.cfg to 50-60fps tweaked fsx.cfg). But does not work well for 767CS. I tried to shortly overclock i5 from 2,7 to 3,8Ghz and overclock HD5850, but there was not change too. It is bad.
When I play new Dirt 2 on ultra settings, tesselation and other things turned on, it gives me 50fps, so I am very sad with 767CS's 14fps  Sad Undecided
