BSOD with C-130 Demo for FSX-solved!

I downloaded the demo and it crashes and I get the BSOD everytime.

Sometimes it goes to the BSOD as soon as I click on the C-130 in FSX, sometimes I can run it, but as soon as I close FSX I then get the BSOD.

This happens with no other aircraft.

I deleted the demo and reinstalled it and it still crashes.

I want to purchase the C-130 duruing the sale but am afraid it will do the same as the demo.

Any suggestions"

Thanks, Aaron

I decided to leave this in case anyone else encounters the same problem.

I downloaded it and it resulted in the BSOD.

Once again after the re-start I clicked yes on the search for solutions to the problem, and for the first time I got some help, the previous times nothing happened.

It said that my audio was most likely the problem.

I tried two things it advised, the first one I tried was the second one it suggested but I wanted to see if it was my audio causing the problem.

I went to control panel/system/device manager/then to my audio, then I right clicked and disabled the audio, fired up the program, picked the new item I had just installed and sure enough, it worked perfectly without audio.

I then tried the first suggestion, I went to control panel/system/device manager/then to my audio, then I right clicked, I then right clicked and searched for updates, then clicked on install updates, and then followed the prompts.

I uploaded all the latest updates, including drivers for my audio/sound card.

After the mandatory re-start the new program works perfectly.

I had the same problem with the non-demo C130X "all in one" package: BSOD as soon as I tried to load any of the C-130s.

I came here, read this thread, updated my sound drivers and Voilà! Everything works great!

Yes same issue here:

Installed the all-in-one package, when in FSX I select the C130 from the list it BSOD and computer restarts when I try to activate the gauges

Got the latest Soundcard drivers (audigy2 NX) and all works fine now

Great!

I'm glad everyone is getting it sorted out.

The only thing I'd change would be to order the all in one, but it does give me something to look forward to.
