This one does not seem to have an answer?? My problem is basically the same as nath's with the addition of the cabin lighting at night!!

During the day you can mess around with the switches to get the relevant external lights to work as they do not seem to be linked to their relevant switch's but at night they "do not" work, cannot be seen from external view?!

Also at night there is no interior cabin light!! Although this is selected as either green or red within Aces. Is this an FSX thing or do we opt for reporting as a bug? Or is there a hidden switch somewhere? All the dials on the pilots left side do is turn on the actual gauge back lights.

Hi, do you use the DX10 preview in FSX? With DX10 preview on, i have problems with lights and textures too and so i dont use it.

Here is my 3d redux lights config:

; X, Z, Y
light.1 =  6,  3.0, -8.10, -15.50,  cs130_taxi //right
light.2 =  6,  3.0, 8.10, -15.50,  cs130_taxi //left

light.3 =  7,   6.00, 18.7,  -7.4, cs130_landing //right1
light.4 =  7,  9.00, 23.90,  -4.00, cs130_landing //right2

light.5 =  5,   6.00, -18.4,  -7.4, cs130_landing //left1
light.6 =  5,  9.00, -23.90,  -4.00, cs130_landing //left2

light.7 =  8,  9,  14.50,  -2.50, cs130_edge2 //right
light.8 =  8,  9,  -14.50,  -2.50, cs130_edge2 //left

// MHA original
// light.9 =4,  33.00,  0.00, -6.00, cs130_vcgr
// light.10 =4,  27.00,  -1.00, -5.00, cs130_vcgr
// Rotes FSX-Cockpitlicht
light.9  =4,  40.00,  0.50, -6.00, cs130_vcrd
light.10 =4,  41.50, -0.50, -5.50, cs130_vcrd
light.11 = 4,  40.00, -0.50, -6.00, cs130_vcrd
light.12 = 4,  41.50,  0.50, -5.50, cs130_vcrd

// MHA Shockwave zusätzlich, 5=Lande, 6=Taxi MHA (Variante mit default FSX lights)
light.13 = 6, 3.2,   9.00, -14.5, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22
light.14 = 6, 3.2,  -7.30, -14.5, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22
light.15 = 5, 5.80,  25.3, -3.60, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22 // right
light.16 = 5, 5.80, -23.6, -3.60, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22 // left

// MHA Variante Shockwave pur
// ; X, Z, Y taxi and landing
// light.1  = 6, 3.0,   -8.10, -15.50, fx_shockwave_taxi                       //right
// light.2  = 6, 3.0,    8.10, -15.50, fx_shockwave_taxi                       //left
// light.3  = 5, 2.76, -24.4,   -3.5,  fx_shockwave_landing_light
// light.4  = 5, 2.76,  24.4,   -3.5,  fx_shockwave_landing_light
// light.5  = 7, 3.50,   8.30, -14.10, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down
// light.6  = 7, 3.50,  -8.30, -14.10, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down
// ; X, Z, Y nav lights
// light.7  = 3,   1.76, -65.80, -1.00, fx_shockwave_navred
// light.8  = 3,   1.76,  65.80, -1.00, fx_shockwave_navgre
// light.9  = 3,   0.76, -65.90, -1.00, fx_shockwave_navred
// light.10 = 3,   0.77,  65.90, -1.00, fx_shockwave_navgre
// light.11 = 3, -58.25,   0,    -2.10, cs130_nav_whi_flash_double
// light.12 = 3,  11.75,   0,   -15.55, cs130_nav_whi_flash
// //light.11 = 3, 1.76, -65.80, -1.00, fx_shockwave_navred
// //light.12 = 3, 1.76, 65.80, -1.00, fx_shockwave_navgre
// ; X, Z, Y anti collision
// light.13 = 8,  23.24, 0.00, -15.59, fx_shockwave_beaconb
// light.14 = 8,   5.29, 0.00,  -1.47, fx_shockwave_beacon
// light.15 = 8, -48.59, 0.00,  21.70, fx_shockwave_beaconh
// light.16 = 9, -48.59, 0.00,  21.70, fx_shockwave_strobe_3
// light.17 = 9,   5.29, 0.00,  -1.47, fx_shockwave_strobe_2
// light.18 = 9,  23.24, 0.00, -15.59, fx_shockwave_strobe_l
// //light.17 = 8, -48.59, 0.00, 21.70, fx_shockwave_beaconh
// ; Rotes FSX-Cockpitlicht MHA mit shockwave pur
// light.19 = 4,  40.00,  0.50, -6.00, cs130_vcrd
// light.20 = 4,  41.50, -0.50, -5.50, cs130_vcrd
// light.21 = 4,  40.00, -0.50, -6.00, cs130_vcrd
// light.22 = 4,  41.50,  0.50, -5.50, cs130_vcrd

I dont replace the original lights, i only add some 3d redux lights.

The red cabin light (that is my favorite) dont worked after installation. So i added some lights for this (see above) and i modified the effect file c130_vcrd.fx: Color End=240, 10, 10, 0 (original 140, 90, 90, 0).
So my Cockpit shimmers red...

best regards, Fred-C130
