I have been reading the 133 page Legendary C130 manual and on page 113 it shows the HSI and how to read it.  My problem is not understanding how to read it but why it don't work in flight.  Just below that is the Compass with Heading Bug and Course Needle; they don't work either.  I would greatly appreciate a point out of what i'm not doing right; thanks.
