Problem starting up the 757
Jan 21st, 2009 at 3:43pm
Print Post
I have just installed CS 757 for FSX and cannot get the aircraft up and running with all systems. I have no EFIS horizon or HSI which I assume must be due to the IRS not being on. When I try to bring this panel up it appears as a 1/2" high black panel with no usable controls. I am also unable to turn on the Yaw Dampers and assume something in the electrical bus switching is not active. Engines are running all bus ties and hydraulics are on.
Also I think some of the panels are just not writing to screen properly ie thrust levers spoiler handle etc show but not the panel itself they just float in front of the panel inst. panel.

I am quite familar with FS9 but a relative novice to FSX, I have all the FSX upgrades AFAIK

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

dual core P4 3 Meg Ram 750 GB HD

This could be finger trouble on my part but I spent 2 frustrating hours going thru panels trying to sort this problem out

One fast way to eliminate the cause. load a plane you know works, fire everything up, then switch to the 757. If everything then works, its a loading problem.

Flight Lead: "Bandits at 3 oclock!!!"&&Wingman: "It's only 2:30 now, what do we do til then?"

Turn all three dials on the IRS to NAV and wait for them to align.  Will take a minute.  Should work after that.

I was prepared to initialize the IRS previously but cannot get the control panel to appear--

I am sure that will do the tricka s I hate having to load another a/c first. But it looks like a good way to check loading issues.

Thanks for the help and will see if I can get it going today

CF104-

Does the OHP load?  It is with OHP button on the Shift-2 panel, or just Shift-6 itself.

IRS is upper left corner of OHP.

Also it is in VC on same location.

Hey, also, if it doesn't show up or work on the other panels, maybe it didn't install right first time you launched FSX and it asked to approve the software, maybe you denied that request?

Double-check, please let me know, I'll see if I can help. Cheesy
