Hi guys,
Thx for your nice comments about my pretty poor pics
About those gimmicks - they work when you follow the procedures.
I used an old 757 manual from a company they at SC don´t want their name to be shown here, starts wit a "P" and ends with a "G"
That manual was for the good old FLY! Sim.
Meanwhile, the guys at CS managed to come out with their own prcedures manual and had their Manuals 1 and 2 worked over. They also have a new part V for the CDU/FMC.
So when you put that lean lady on the tarmac with everyting off, its fun to follow the flow and get her alive.
As for autoflight, once the FMC is programmed and the weights and speeds are entered correctly - you have to take the weights from the FS9 Weights and Fuel page - you select your flap setting, enter that into the takeoff page and WOW - the fmc calculates the speeds by its own.
Just to get those speed bugs to show the correct nmbers on the airspeed indicator is a majo headache
you have to slide them there with the mouse. I admit I never managed to get it done ...
You then Select EPR and TO/GA and off she goes. Positive climb and at araound 1500 ft I engage the autopilot and select LNAV and VNAV.
The autopilot follows the flightplan nicely.
Autoland works as well, only one thing I found out aut EDDF she didnt stay on the rwy centerline after touchdown, so I had to give some rudder .
input.
a for frames, they are in the upper 10s at crowded airports, but I have to mention that I have every setting to the full right and tons of ai traffic.
Once airborn, the frmes are at 25 locked.
So that´s quite nice for flying.
Have a nice weekend guys and regards from Klagenfurt (LOWK and not LOXK, as in the CS757 nav database
)
