The guns are animated.  You can activate them by selecting the gun panel in the "Instrument Panel" section in the "Views" tab.  Hope this helps!

Would it be the 'IR and EWO console' view?

And once there, how do you activate the guns?

Sorry, I'm a n00b :p

No.  You are looking at the "New View" section.  You want to look in the "Instrument Panel" section.  At the bottom of that list you should select "Weapons Panel".

To use the weapons, you turn on the master.  Next, you arm the gun of your choice and press the fire button.  You have to hold down the fire button for the visual effects to kick in.

I don't care.  The banner is available to anyone in the free stuff section of support and you most likely won't have the same specs as me.  You can use whatever though.
