Title: Changelog for 1.04 through 1.06??
Post by DMullert on Jun 4th, 2021 at 12:16pm
Hello Team.

Any chance we can get a changelog from 1.04 to 1.06 just so we are aware of what was added, fixed, or enhanced in these versions??

Thanks

Well they still haven't changed the weight of the 777, it still thinks its a 747-8 in the latest build.

We are not going to change anything in the config files because that will cause an endless mess with the aftermarket mods of the 777.

So what I'm hearing is that you are more concerned with what freeware developers may do to fix your plane than fixing it yourself, than to just add a readme that states "we have modified the cfg file so this flies more like a 777, modify at your own risk".  Thus you'd rather have it weigh and consume fuel as a 747 vs the 777 its supposed to be and put it on your customers to fix it?

You'll have to explain that logic to me.  Since when should a commercial developer be so concerned about what freeware devs will do to their product that they purposely leave it in a misconfigured state and release it as a product people pay for?

If you've never heard of the phrase "Tail wagging the dog"...perhaps you should look it up.

Maybe its just me, but I always thought the person (or company) who develops a product should LEAD the group on how best to improve the product....naw...that is crazy talk....just pop a product on the market and let others create the proper config for your product....yeah...that's it.

There's no such thing as "proper" or "improper" product. Any product is all about a particular customer needs. https://www.captainsim.org/forum/csf.pl?num=1621499490
