Print Post
Updated expansion models (ADV, -100) are available. Now they supports the new 737-200 base pack 1.0 features.

Sould I download and install the updated models?
Only if you have purchased the Expansion Models before 02:30 21APR2012 .

How to get the updated models?
1. Check-in to Your Profile.

2. In Your Profile click: Product > 737 Captain (737-100 and/or -ADV Expansion Models) > Extended Download Service and download them to any folder on your computer.

3. Uninstall previous version of the Expansion Models. (Start> Programs> Captain Sim> 737 Captain> )

4. Delete all FLIGHTS saved with the Expansion Models.

5. Make sure the 737 Captain (737-200) base pack 1.0 is installed.

6. Double click the downloaded files to install* the updated models.

* - The updated models will overwrite previously installed freeware liveries and/or other modifications of the original product. Prior to uninstall the product please backup all data added to the original product.

Install 737 Captain (737-200) base pack first, then all expansions.

Not trying to step on your toes here Tanya, but I think one of those files is wrong. I'll explain it.

@micker. You say you install the cse737_030, which I assume to be an Expansion Model (the csexxx designation), while the only 730_0300 was actually the csx730_0300.exe. So that means you are installing the csx730_0300.exe (which is the 737-200 Exterior Model). What you need csp732_1000.exe (which is the 737-200 Base Pack), then you can install the cse731_1500.exe (737-100 Expansion Model) and cse733_1000 (737-200C/F Expansion Model.
Those last two, are programmed to work with the 737-200 Base Pack and so will not work the 737-200 Exterior Model.

You need to purchase the 737-200 Base Pack Upgrade. That way you get your 10 Euro discount. Wink

Hope this helps.

Hi community,

I am a little confused here, so need some help please......

OK, I purchased the original 737-100 base pack when it was first released. Still have my installer and activation codes. Then, a few weeks ago, I purchased the -200 upgrade pack special. I followed all of the instructions, and all is well, but I am confused about the -100.

Do I have to re-purchase the -100, or can I re-use my original installer? It's strange that my ACE sees the -100 as well, even though it is not there.

Thanks all,

Andrew.

Kind regards,&&&&AJ.

Hi Andrew.

Firstly. I'm assuming that you have bought (or upgraded to) the 737-200 Base Pack v1.0 and are not using the 737-200 Base Pack v0.X. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Do this:
Check-in to Your Profile > Select 737 Captain (737-100 Expansion Model) > Extended Download Service > Get New Links and download it again. The 737-100 Expansion Model is now at version 1.5 (cse731_1500.exe) and goes with the 737-200 Base Pack version 1.0 (csp732_1000.exe).

That should be all you need to do.

Install 737-200 Base Pack v1.0 (your post says it already is) followed by the 737-100 Expansion Model.

Go to the [FSX]\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B727-200ADV\sound folder and open the sound.cfg with notepad (it should be the only file in that folder). Once you open it, you should see this:

[fltsim]
alias=CS_B737-200\sound

If you see that, the sound should be working. If yours is different, then that is probably why you don't hear any sounds.

I have to reinstall all my 737 models on my new computer.I'm getting confused about the sequence of installation,as the file names are somewhat different from the product names.
I have: 737 Captain(737-200 Exterior Model)
           737Captain(737-100 Expansion model)
           737Captain(737-200) Upgrade
           737Captain(737-200Adv Expansion model
           737Captain(737-200C/F) Expansion model.
Tha'ts five combinations. What sequence of the above shoiuld be my order of installation.Any help appreciated for an old guy

Hi Ron,

the way I have it and did it a month ago or so:

1.  cs737_200 v1.0   =   csp732_1000.exe
2.  cs737_100 v1.5   =   cse731_1500.exe
3.  cs737_200ADV v1.1   =   cse732_1100.exe
4.  cs737_200CF v1.0   =   cse733_1000.exe

in that sequence. Hope this helps,
best regards,
Lex
