I can't take off with B717-200

I have problem to take off.
First of all, I specify that my intention is to fly full manually ('80-'90 years style), so with complete control of throttle, flaps, trims and so on.
No flight plan is loaded because I want to manage a radio navigation, with the help of VOR, NDB, ILS etc.
Obviously I have drawn a flight plan on the map (I use Little Nav Map), but I intend to follow it manually.
The first problem I encounter is the takeoff.
After starting the plane from the Dark & Cool position, following the checklist, I taxied to the runway (Eugene KEUG airport to go to Redding KRDD.
My plane can't get enough speed and when, at the end of the runway, I can barely lift off the ground, immediately after the plane falls because it doesn't have enough thrust.
It seems like it's braked, but the airbrakes are retracted, the flaps in the takeoff position and the trim in the green area. I hear a warning message but I don't understand what it says, but I see that an extension of slats and/or spoiler is reported, maybe that's it, but everything is retraited and I don't understand why the engine doesn't rev up and the plane doesn't increase its speed.
I would like someone to test, please, this takeoff and tell me where I'm going wrong in the takeoff configuration.
For this purpose I attach a file called "B717-200 ready TO Eugene to Redding". It is intended to be a FLT file, but since this extension does not seem to be allowed, I propose it in .txt to be saved again with .FLT extension to then be able to load it into MSFS2020.
Thanks to those who will have the patience to perform this test and who can help me...

Hello Steve44,

the "SLATS / SPOILERS" display at startup that you described only occurs when NO flaps are set and the speedbrakes are extended.
There could be two reasons for this:
1. either you have confused flaps and speedbrakes, or
2. your hardware settings in the control options are incorrect.
I have just tested the whole thing....
Without flaps and with the speedbrakes extended, there is of course no chance of getting the beautiful bird into the air.

best Regards
Rudolf Wink

Thanks a lot Rudolf.
I agree with what you say, but the fact is that I normally set the flaps in takeoff position (eg. 1-2 notches) and obviously the airbrake is not active, so I expect to get maximum acceleration...
If you have tested the flight and the takeoff happens correctly, I would ask you to set the starting attitude as you think is correct and then attach the FLT file (in .txt mode), so that I can compare with mine and test it in turn (and understand if perhaps it depends by a malfunction of my Thrustmaster 16000).
Thanks, Steve.

Hello Steve44,

....when loading your flight plan, I always get a CTD...perhaps you can pack the original FLT file as a zip file and then attach it.
Just to be on the safe side, please take a look at the aircraft from the outside and check that the flaps are really set and not the speedbrakes.

Thanks Rudolf.
Now I have attached the starting position and the plane set (in my opinion) for takeoff.
I notice some problems.
1) With the engine at full throttle I can barely reach 145 kts and, with great difficulty, lift the plane off the ground. I note that the runway is 8000 ft so well enough for a takeoff.
2) In any case - and this is very strange - after a few minutes of flight, the power goes out, all the instruments go out and the plane crashes...
I don't know what to think... maybe I did something wrong in the settings of the on-board systems...
PS. I tried several times, but it's always the same music...

It sounds like you don't have a generator turned on and the power is only supplied by the battery until it is empty, then it's clear it only goes down... I'll post a link here for a video tonight . a small step by step guide. Wink

Bravo Rudolf !
In fact the generators were off!
I thought they were in the ON position, but I realized that I had to hold down the click for a while pushing down to move the lever.
As for the take-off difficulties, they remain the same. I would like to know after how many mt / ft the wheels can lift off the ground... 8000 ft is definitely too much.
So I look forward to your step by step guide.
Then I have another big problem with the pitch in the final phase of landing. The plane goes down nose down and I can't do the flare and a soft landing, as if the stick didn't respond... (for this I opened another post) but let's solve one thing at a time.
I hope I can master this B-717 because it is really a pleasant plane...

Hello Steve,

I got home very late today and unfortunately I can't make a video. But please check your version number of the 717.
The latest version is currently version 1.108.
The reason why you should check this is that if you have downloaded the 717 from the Captain Sim Store, it is only version 1.103 and you must update to version 1.108. You can do this with the program ACE.exe, which can be found under Programs / Captain Sim. Maybe I'll include this in the video tomorrow...
Please write which version is displayed for you....to be found in the CDU....will also be included in the video....

I have purchased the plane in the MSFS2020 shop. Few minutes ago I update the 1.1.10 version.
I don't know in this moment which are the changes introduced.

Rudolf, Im out of house for some days, I return the next week end.
Steve
PS. With a more experience with this bird I begin to master it. I think however that it needs a long space to take off and the initial climb is very flat
