Auto-Pilot is NOT Capturing the Localizer

I want to know why it is that the auto-pilot is not capturing the localizer. The auto-pilot is engaged and I have the NAV/LOC mode selected. The manual says that when the NAV/LOC is selected and the HDG switch is engaged, the HDG switch automatically switches off when the LOC is captured, but it is NOT doing that. When the LOC needle moves to the center, the HDG switch does not switch off. It just maintains the same heading rather than capturing the LOC. What is the problem?

Hi,

I've noticed it looks like I've posted 2 of these and I don't know why there's 2 of them. Apparently, I've must hit the Post Message button twice when I was trying to edit my post. Apparently, messages cannot be edited. I've tried to delete this post but I don't see a way of doing that. So, if the moderator would, you can delete this post but not the other one, so that there won't be 2 of them.
