Unrequested engine shutdown on climb out
Jun 15th, 2023 at 6:15am
Print Post
Recently on the 757-200 I have been getting weird engine shutdowns on climb out.  Loosing both engines and obviously electrical power.

I read with interest that the 767 in FSX was doing this if the centre tank was emptying.  I will retry the flights and ensure the centre tank is full to see if it makes a difference.

Until then anyone else encountering this issue?

kind of gravedigging, but for others that may run into this, if you are on P3D and still have the default vanilla traffic files being used, a couple of the planes included in the p3d base install are from Carenado/Alabeo, and when they built the models, they put in code to randomly shut player engines off if the plane was being used for ai traffic. I ran into this and just renamed the titles of the Commander 114 and the Extra, and never had the issue again.
