External Lighting Modification

The external lights were lacking.. I've made several mods ages ago and decided to share them.

Lots of testing was done to be sure the taxi / landing lights are modelled well enough so that they illuminate objects at the proper distances.

https://youtu.be/t3BbbEskbZY

Fixes:

>All lights
     >Reflections will be barely visible during the day, you should not be seeing bright lights on the ground during the day

>Beacons
     >Bottom beacon has a more pronounced reflection on the engines and ground
     >Both beacon lights are smaller and got rid of that annoying huge beacon effect
     >Beacons are timed more accurately, approx once every 1.33 seconds

>Strobes
     >Made them slightly bigger
     >They now flash realistically on the ground
     >FLASH NO LONGER GOES THROUGH THE WINGLET AND DOESN'T SHINE ON THE WING!! (Sorry very happy about this stupidity being gone)
     >Strobes are timed more accurately, approx once every 1.33 seconds

>Nose Lights
     >Taxi light should be a wide bulb that illuminates a wider angle, they're supposed to help you see when you taxi...
     >Landing light is a narrower but intense bulb

>Wing Lights
     >I used 2 separate effects for both wings to illuminate the front of the engine and that last couple of slats like IRL
     >Made them slightly more yellow

>White Position Lights
     >Adjusted the color to be slighly more yellow
     >They now reflect on the ground slightly brighter
     >Now reflect beautifully on the winglets

>Red/Green Position Lights
     >Made them smaller

Just great you're doing this.

Just yesterday I tried, changing the content for the 73 classic landing light effect files with the one of the default C130 makes landing lights illuminate the ground again.

I wish Captainsim would release updated light effect files for all it's aircraft to work in P3D5.

Thanks Alex, I will give it y try. On the CS757 the exterior lights seems OK except the wing tip flashing lights. I get a black box texture all around. Seems to be a display setting issue. Any idea ?

This is actually an issue with no sis graphics I believe. A driver update was done and this should be fixed.

Sooooo. What is the cure for the black rectangles that show where the strobe lights should be?  I just purchased the 757 III yesterday.  My Nvidia drivers are up-to-date.  Will the mods within the 'CS_Effects_Mod.zip' fix this problem; the readme therein does not specifically state that it will.
Thanks for any assistance and best regards,
Walter

I have no idea what the black spot issue is; definitely reach out to CS. My pack doesn't change the textures of the lights so I haven't a clue whether or not it'll fix that issue.
