C-130 Not Showing in FSXSE Aircraft List (Read 1103 times)

	Downloaded and installed C-130 X Pack. Several times. No aircraft appear in the select airplane list on FSX. Followed all the download rules. Looked in KB but nothing there. Turned off antivirus, real time protection, ran as administrator. Install said successful install. All files appear to be present in FSX Aircraft files list. Did complete uninstall and reinstall several times. No joy. Running FSX SE on high end computer in Win 11.

	Check and see if the C-130 is installed in Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes folder, or SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes folder, depending on where FSX-SE is installed. The following folders CS_C130 CS_EX1_C130 CS_EX1_CL130 CS_EX1_KC130 CS_EX2_AC130 CS_EX2_C130 CS_EX2_C133 CS_EX2_LC130 should be there if it installed correctly. Note. I don't have Windows 11 installed on my PC, or Laptop, so I can't verify if the installation works like it should.

	Yup. Folders are all there. Compared their config file with other working aircraft and don't find any obvious differences. Had Win10 but did a clean install of Win 11 due to computer death crash. Worked okay in Win 10. Reinstall of FSX SE and all appear including other addon aircraft except for CaptSim C-130s.

	I would suspect that you might be missing a file for the C-130's. You might want to check your Anti Virus software for any Captain Sim files that might have been removed post installation. Once you turn your AV back on and start FSX-SE, it might have removed a file that it considered a threat (false positive). When selecting a new aircraft, can you see Captain Sim in the Publisher list? Do you have any other Captain Sim products, or is the C-130 X-Perience (FSX) the only one? If you do, are you able to select them, and do they show up like they should?

	Checked AV for removed files. None found. Captain Sim isn't in the Publisher list. C-130 X is only Captain Sim product installed. Thanks for your help with this. Going to check Texture settings and files since I read someplace that Texture problems can cause this as well.

	Tried everything. Reinstalled again. Files are generally identical to other airplane files. Still not showing.

	Try adding either all the C130 aircraft folders in the FSX-SE\SimObjects\Airplanes, OR add Steam\steamapps\common\fsx, to the exclusions list of you Anti Virus progrm, then reinstall the C-130 X-Perience to see if that fixes it. Just so you know. I have added FSX, FSX-SE, P3Dv3, P3Dv4, and P3Dv5 to the exclutions list of my Anti Virus program (Avast One). I have also added the location of where I store my installation files for all my add-ons for FSX/FSX-SE/P3Dv3/P3Dv4/P3Dv5 products to the exclusions list just in case.
