Just recently purchased the 777 and so far, everything seems to work for me with this exception. For an example I will use a short flight from KMYR to PASI.

Sitting at KMYR, I power up the 777. The left CDU Radio displays 117.60 A CRE. The right CDU radio displays FLO A 115.2 which are the two closest VOR's to my location. On the Virtual Cockpit LO5 Left Inboard display these frequencies and ID's agree, so everything is fine if I elevate the aircraft I receive their signal. I then start up the aircraft, program my flight plan and make the flight with no problems.

However, even though the CDU VOR selection is automatic, the VOR frequencies and ID's never change and remain for CRE and FLO throughout the flight.

I was able to change the frequency setting manually in the CDU and the "M" indicator displays for a manual setting, but the ID's remains CRE and FLO no matter what I do. the Virtual cockpit LO5 left inboard display also never changes.

Before starting, I did set my Menu POS location in the CDU to KMYR.

I am able to complete the flight with no problems, but no matter what I do, the VOR's never update automatically to progressive VOR's , nor does manually setting to the appropriate frequencies as I approach VOR's in the routing have any effect.

Anybody have any idea what I am doing or not doing incorrectly?

Nice you found a solution.

When I moved the CS777 to KMYR, I saw that CRE and FLO were already automatically selected in for the VOR frequencies on the CDU so it didn't make sence to enter them manually. That is unless they changed at some point, and you didn't want them to change.
