DONE- Prepar3d V5.3 Closing During FMS Programming

So I am having an issue of Prepar3d closing when I try to program the FMS. What is weird about this is it has happened not only with the 737-300 but I am also having this issue with the 757 and 767 as well and it always happens at the exact same point. When I am in the VNAV Descent Mode Menu it defaults with 240/10000 on L3 SPD Trans if I go to put 250/10000 on the SPD RESTR L4 it will not let me do that. So I tried to update L3 with 250/10000 upon attempting to put that into the FMS the sim freezes and closes / crashes to desktop. What is weird is in Windows event viewer I do not see any errors related to this and all I see is (not sure if related or not) is an information message for Microsoft-Windows-Security-SPP... I have observed this phenomenon multiple times prior to reporting it here and in three different CS addons (73,75,76) Any ideas as to what could be causing this and or how to fix it? Thanks

Please, take a look: SPD RESTR
Let us know how to reproduce it?

So I did it with the 757 this time... Oddly I tried it with the 737 and for the first time ever it cooperated much to my surprise...

So steps followed:

I started out with the default scenario daytime at KRND.

1. I then went into the VNAV pages using the VNAV button.

2. Scrolled to page 3 ECON Des using the next page button.

3. I then typed in 250/10000 using the onscreen keypad

4. I push the L4 button to try to enter the restriction and it didn't take...

5. I pushed the L3 button to enter it as a restriction and P3d Crashed...

Thank you!
This does not happen with the default 757 flight 757-200 Captain III Cleared for takeoff (KSEA).fxml. But, for sure, this should not be the case.
Have you tried to set the SPD RESTR values lower than SPD TRANS?

Also, if you will get this crash in the 737, please save the flight before CTD and attach it to your reply here.

So I repeated the exact same process in the 767-300 as well and got the same results...I will try setting the spd rest values lower than the trans values and let you know what I come up with; as well as do it in the 737 and save the flight for you...  but for now here is what I have two separate events hours apart:

So quick test with the 757 again and yes I will do the 737 saved flt next.. But same scenario I started out with the default scenario daytime at KRND.

1. I then went into the VNAV pages using the VNAV button.

2. Scrolled to page 3 ECON Des using the next page button.

3. I then typed in 230/10000 using the onscreen keypad (less than the trans)

4. I push the L4 button to try to enter the restriction and freeze and CTD

This crash was with the 737...

1. Went to the VNAV Des Page using the DES Button

2. Typed in 250/10000

3. Tried to enter that as a restriction using the L4 button (did not accept)

4. Tried to enter that as a trans speed using L3 button and freeze with a CTD.

Clear.
You are trying to set these values on a non-activated route.
I don’t know what will happen in real life in this case, but it’s definitely not CTD Smiley
This will be fixed in the next update.
Thanks!

Yes I did the non-activated route on these tests yesterday, because I was trying to be quick... In multiple previous cases I spend time looking at the Jepps and putting in a full route SID, STAR, JXXX ect. and frustratedly got the CTD after all that effort... So for these tests I only entered the Dep and Arr Airports on the first FPL page; knowing that I was going to get a CTD, so why waste the time going through the full procedure... Regardless glad to hear it will be fixed!! Thanks!!! Yes, speaking from real world experience, a real FMS would just reject (ignore / not allow) the input, not crash the FMS itself or the whole plane for that matter... lol

So the 737 seems to be working fine now... But I am still having the exact same issue with the 757 and 767... Can you please upload patches for those aircraft with the fix applied to these aircraft as well.
