I just tried a few things how to make airplane better (salty mod etc..) , the best option is replace flightmodel file with some improved file for cs777   - airplane is flying beautifully but ground service will not recognize possition of doors any more. Airplane is not usable, please for money refund or please fix flight model. Aircraft is in the air totally crazy.

Thank you

I just fixed this problem by myself, I just replaced parts of mods for B777 , airplane is now works fine.

Any chance of letting us know what these changes are ?

Like you, I'm finding that the 767 climbs like an Exocet Missile...

Thanks

I installed the Salty Compatibility with EICAS Mod from flightsim.to and it flies really well. However, even with this mod you cannot use VNAV as it will still climb like a rocket. I hand fly up to around 3,000' or so then stabilize and engage the VS at a set rate (usually around 2,500 FPM).

Ok, I've had some success in 'taming the beast' and now have a nice controlled VNAV takeoff.

I'm no flight model expert, but it would appear that the rated engine static thrust within 'engines.cfg' had been set to 133000, which is approx. double what it should be for the CF6-80Cs. Once I had adjusted this to a value of 63100, takeoff was a far more sedate affair !

Thanks for the suggestion! I changed the rated engine static thrust to 63100 like you did and had a hard time with taxiing and takeoff. I used up close to 10,000 feet of runway to get off the ground . I changed it to 105000 and will have to see if that feels better.

I suspect that may be because the aircraft weights are still set too heavy for the 767-400. Within "flight_model,cfg", I set:
max_gross_weight = 450000
empty_weight = 227400

Regards

Yes, you are correct with the weights. Did you adjust the fuel flow scalar at all?

Thanks!
