CS L1011 in 2021? (Read 1993 times)

	I'm thinking about getting the Captainsim L1011. I really like "oldish" planes like the 747-200. And I love the Tristar since my Childhood. I dont know why but it has a special place in my heart. And the Screenshots on the product Page look amazing! But then there are the negative things. The biggest thing that keeps me away from buying the Tristar ist that it's not so polular. For example the another company 777 oder the FSlabs a320- everyone knows them, everyone can help, ....- I literally don't know anyone who has the L1011. So my fear is- if something doesn't work, will someone be able to help me? So I ask you, L1011 Pilots, is the Plane worth getting in late 2021? What should I be aware of? Jannik

Jannik Hello, I got the 1011 yesterday and have done a couple of flights on it. I love it. Haven't had any major issues, would highly recommend installing the vOne gauges to get you speeds and the like. An awesome addon, pity that CS has gone down hill since

	Worth the money. I bought it for P3Dv2 back in the day and just bought the v4/v5 version a couple of days ago (thank God for the huge promotion as CS doesn't make discounts for previous users). Didn't fly it on a daily basis, but it's a great plane to fly. Not on the same level as FSLabs or another company, but certainly comparable to the another company Airbuses or another company 787. I asure you won't be disapointed, as long as you keep in mind it's not on the same level as FSL or another company.

	Like L1011 but there are issues stopping me from flying: 1. INS - it is not ins but gps dressed with ins skin 2. default ground fiction coefficient in use - very unrealistic ground roll 3. no TO/GA, CLB, CRZ thrust modes 4. dummy systems - hydraulic, pressurization 5. default engine start up logic 6. heavy on fps - at least on my system 7. no windshield effects 8. low quality sound set - personal opinion here

	Agree with the most. I also got it on the 10$ sale and I really like it. Bit like 'Beardyman' said, it has a few issues. The Fps are acceptable but with the TSS soundpack it's really nice

I'd enjoy fixed startup logic and ground friction.
