Re-install

In some cases re-install is the most effective solution.

The following guidelines apply to products purchased via CS store only. For the Marketplace purchases please follow the MS guidelines.

Re-install on the same device.
No software deactivation required if you do not change any hardware, OS and/or username on your device.
Otherwise, you must deactivate the software: (Start>Captain Sim>777 ACE [FS2020]>Deactivate) BEFORE making any changes to the device.
Got issues with deactivation?

2. Unistall the sofware: Start>Captain Sim>777-X00 Uninstall [FS2020]
If there's no such icon in your Start menu, say thank you to your AV and manually remove the 777 from the FS2020 Community folder.
3. Delete all the remnants of the sofware (free liveries, mods etc).
4. Install the latest version of the software (run the installer .exe file as administrator).
5. Run ACE and install the latest update (Start>Captain Sim>777 ACE [FS2020]>Update)

Transfer to another device.
Note: Any change of hardware, OS and/or username on your first device makes it the another device.

1. Deactivate the software on your first device: Start>Captain Sim>777 ACE [FS2020]>Deactivate.
2. Unistall the sofware from your first device: Start>Captain Sim>777-X00 Uninstall [FS2020]

Here is a question re: activation... And please do clarify if this works the same with P3D as MSFS.

When you use the Uninstaller, does it deactivate your license for the time-being? In other words, if there is a limited number of activations per license, you should technically be ok to uninstall and reinstall as you see fit, correct? For instance, with P3D, I uninstalled all CS products a couple of times when I was changing installations. Then again when I completely uninstalled P3D 5.1 and installed a fresh 5.2. So far, I haven't had any issues re-installing, but does it keep track of the number of times you do that? If so, do I need to try to minimize uninstalls/re-installs, or is it completely OK to do it as long as you use the proper Uninstaller?

No. All FS2020 products introduce new=different licensing procedure.

The rest is answered here

OK. That clarified the MSFS products. What about the P3D ones?

As per EULA, as usual.

Installing csm773_1100.exe gives you the latest version of the 777-300ER.
At the bottom left of the 777-300 ACE [MSFS], you should see m773 v.1.1.0.0    ACE v.1.0.12.72, and they are the latest version - if I select Update on the ACE, it tells me I'm on v1.1.0.0 and that there is no update available. See attached image.

I reinstalled my MSFS to a different drive after experiencing CTD.  I noticed, then, that my ACE program was also deleted (not sure why). Now I'd like to reinstall it but the link in the email has expired, and there is no link to actually reinstall the software from an existing purchase.  Please help.  I may be overlooking something quite simple.

Check and see if the Captain Sim aircraft is in the new installation location: X:\MSFS\Community\captainsim-aircraft-m### (### being the product name - m131, m764, m772, m773, or m774).

If it's not there: Login to Your Profile > Product Name > Extended Download Service. Download it/them from the link(s).

If you didn't uninstall it from your computer before moving MSFS to the different drive, and it didn't copy over, then its likely that you will need to get the order number unlocked. The guide to do that is here: https://www.captainsim.org/forum/csf.pl?num=1541289733

Thank you for your response!  I appreciate it!  I did not uninstall the items, and they DID carry over.  I am able to still fly them.  I just don't have the software for updates anymore.  It simply deleted, not sure why.  Don't I still need the software (ACE) for future updates, etc?

ACE comes in handy for checking up for updates, and it is sometimes deleted after installation by Anti Virus programs due to false positives (seen as Trojans). They can usually be restored from the Virus Chest/Vault, or wherever they are removed to, and can also be added as an exception to your AV program.
