DONE - Fuel Gauge Misread

Afternoon.

This if my first flight with the 737-300 and I've noticed a couple of bugs, I will report separate.

The first bug is that I loaded 5 tons of fuel via the FMC as you normally would, but the gauges are reading wrong, the gauges are saying I've got just over 2 tons when I have just under 5 loaded.

Thanks For Your Help

Myles

When you load 5 tons of fuel, wouldn't they be shared between the two wing tanks, with any extra then go into the centre tank?

I got the same, it shows wrong if you put 5000kg, it shows 1250kg in left and right and 200 in CTR even if that is not needed for 5t fuel..

Yes that is correct however, 5 tons split between left and right should be 2 and a half tons per wing, not 1200kg per wing, the numbers dont add up and match the supposed fuel loaded.

When I enter 5.0 (x1000) KGS in the CDU, it shows 5478lbs in both wing tanks, and 67lbs in the centre tank. I tried it several times, and it remained the same.

I'm using U.S. System (feet, inches), and I switched to KGS using options in the CDU (this was in both P3Dv4 & P3Dv5).

I notice that Myles' gauges also show the  weight on the gauges as KG, mine remain in LB. That's because I'm using the US System (feet, inches), and not Metric, or Hybrid.

I did a test by changing the settings to Metric, and there is definitely a bug. Max fuel in Wing Tanks is 2066 KGS, with 3188 KGS (a total of 7320 KGS, instead of a total of 161xx KGS (CDU only show a maximum of 16.1 tonnes)) for the centre tank! The same happens when I change to Hybrid.

There is definitely a bug with the Metric fuel quantities.

Also check in the FMS, the fuel used is not working - it is showing me 0 (I am using KG setting).

The QTY is correct in the FMS but wrong below the engine gauges as noted.

I have amended the weights from pounds to Kilogram in the FMC options. However the fuel gauges still show the amounts in pounds.

Also the total fuel on board in the display is wrong. It is showing the total fuel on board in each wing tank, the displays are not showing the total fuel on board divided properly to the three different tanks (left, center, right)
