B767 Ground Roll

In my installation, the sim is not playing the ground roll sound (TSS-Rolling wav file).

The wav file plays without issue when run through an audio player.

The sound.cfg does have an entry for this sound...but it isn't heard in either take-off or landing.

[GROUND_ROLL]
filename=TSS-Rolling
flags=0
viewpoint=1
minimum_speed=0.00
maximum_speed=140.00
minimum_volume=4566
maximum_volume=10000
minimum_rate=0.69
maximum_rate=1.39

Anyone else seeing (or rather not hearing) this with their 767?

Thanks in advance, Rob

Any feedback from CaptainSim???

Angry

I went back and reviewed some YouTube videos to see if the sound is available...

The following video link also indicates the sound is not active for the B767 (taxi to take-off starts at 21:50 in the video):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkROuSwl_i0

I went back to the CS757 to check that airframe...the ground roll sound effect does seem to work on the 757, but the ground roll is very quiet during take-off (not heard at all during taxi for the 757).

Does anyone have this effect working in their 767? It would certainly help the VC immersion of this product...especially since it looks like it should be working.

Thanks in advance!

Still no response from CS...

When I went to the TSS website, it pointed me in the direction of Simmarket...from that website:

"Attention: THIS PACKAGE IS INCLUDED IN THE Captainsim product. This is intended for customers that want to use the package with another Boeing 767 model."

Looking specifically at the YouTube video for TSS-B767 PW4060 PE, the ground roll sound is definitely audible during the take-off roll (starting at 2:00 in the video).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX2zt2_ZAYw

This sound wav file is not audible in the current edition of the CS767.

How can I resolve this for my aircraft?

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,

So I just bought the aircraft and had this issue as well.

I contacted AT, who makes AMAZING sounds for the 757/767, for FREE. Check him out: type "cs767 sound" on youtube, download link in the video description.

He replied in no time and recommended me to do the following, which worked:

1) Make sure your cockpit and environment default volumes are set to high. (I had to reduce mine for Immersive Audio for the another company)

2) - Go to E:\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060\sound
- Open the sound.cfg
- CTRL+F Search for "rolling" or scroll down to GROUND_ROLL
- Apply this:

[GROUND_ROLL]
filename=TSS-Rolling
flags=0
viewpoint=1
minimum_speed=20.00
maximum_speed=100.00
minimum_volume=4566
maximum_volume=10000
minimum_rate=0.69
maximum_rate=1.39

AT recommended me 120 for Maximum_speed, but went for the 100 in order for it to be louder.

Hope this helps!

Chris
