Capt Sim 707 - P3DV5 Yes or No?

I see on the products page that the Legacy 707 is now coming up as P3DV5 compatible, when the system requirements page is checked. Is this correct or is the page ahead of the product?

As far as I know, it will work in P3Dv3 (32bit), but it will not work P3Dv4/v5 (64bit), so in answer to your question, I would say NO, it's not P3Dv5 compatible.
I assume that when that link (http://www.prepar3d.com/system-requirements/) was first provided for the system requirements for P3D, you would have seen the system requirements for P3Dv3, because P3Dv4 and P3Dv5 didn't exist back then.

MarkOz, thanks for that info. I can wait patiently. Really enjoying P3DV5 as my one and only sim now. It has a few bugs still but no show stoppers (once again submenu stuff (flight planner, logbook and SimDirector they still need to sort out)

On a new Intel chip CPU machine, SSD and with a 8GB RAM Nvidia card, the graphics are amazingly good and the performance rock solid. Still amazed at the 30 sec load times and maybe 45 secs to get up and running. There is to my view a whole bunch of addon stuff that is now no longer required.

But I miss the old 707!

I have had the 707 for FSX a very long time and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, while keeping FSX installed, I have switched to P3Dv4.5 as my main sim. The 707 has been gathering dust for a few years now.
A few days ago I loaded up FSX again to try out the 707 again and just after take off the sim crashed to desktop. I’ll try it again later but here is some food for thought...
With John Travolta’s 707 due to arrive in Australia later this year (perhaps, but it is coming!) there will be a renewed interest in this aircraft.
It would be great if Captain Sim could get this aircraft 64bit ready ASAP! The concept has been dragging on for a few years now, it’s time to make it happen!
Cheers, BrianC, Australia.

Personally, I am hanging out for a B707 for either P3D(v4/5) or MSFS. I am not fussy which platform, but I'd like to not be sitting here contemplating reinstalling FSX just to get back in to the sweet old girl again  Smiley

Captain Sim, let's update the 707!

Cheers

You will die waiting, if they didn't do it for V4 they aren't going to do it for V5 but you better believe they will cuck up and do it for MSFS2020 in some handicapped version.

+1 , Would love to see it again for either MSFS or P3Dv5! I've put FSX solidly behind me and I'm missing both the 707 and the 727! CS not the only dev either - I sorely miss my another company MD-11 and JS4100 as well! Sad
