I add in addition to the cold and dark, it would be nice to have the possibility to choose the quantity of fuel, and the payload, as well as to be able to have the pause at the Top of descend, Smiley
thank you Captain !!

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to Prepar3D v5\Captain_Sim\767-II\panel\basic folder. Copy the COLD AND DARK.cfg, then paste it into Prepar3D v5\Captain_Sim\767-II\panel\custom. Rename the copied COLD AND DARK.cfg to DEFAULT.cfg. Then in the 767, open the CDU (SHIFT+6) > Menu button > Setup > Options > Next Page button > turn on LOAD DEFAULT PANEL STATE

Now each time you load the 767 into P3D, it should be in a Cold and Dark state.

The only way I can get this to work, is to change the fuel quantity in the default flight.

as well as to be able to have the pause at the Top of descend

This is already there: CDU > Menu button > Setup > Options (it's the first one on the list)

Hello Mark
I come back to Cold and Dark, it actually doesn't work, I do exactly what you told me to do. And each time the plane load with the Battery ON

I open the CDU (SHIFT + 6)> Menu button> Setup> Options> Next Page button> turn on LOAD DEFAULT PANEL STATE !!!! But it turns ON, but the “exec” key of the CDU is lit but does not work ... has no effect

So always with the battery ON without APU and Ext Power
No Cold and Dark,     Undecided Cry Embarrassed

It works fine for me. Whenever I start the 767, it's cold and dark (the battery switch is OFF).

You could try reversing the way to do it. By that, I mean that you change the setting in the CDU (turn load default panel state ON), then copy the COLD AND DARK.cfg over to the custom folder.

I'm not having any problems with the EXEC switch working when I click on it.

Admittedly, I don't normally start the 767 using the COLD AND DARK setting, but the saved DEFAULT panel state that I created works fine. Undecided

Hello Mark
767-300 Captain Sim, always impossible to have the cold and dark panel. I have tried everything.  Sad Undecided
First: When I load the plane it is always with BAT ON + CDU left ON right OFF. IRS, Fuel Pump, Lights etc… ON.  It seems to be  the DEFAULT Panel.
Operations:
A: CDU Left \ Menu \ Setup \ State \ Cold and Dark \ EXEC button = OK
B: CDU Left \ Menu \ Setup \ State \ Custom State \ EXEC button = OK
A and B same result when reload the plane it is always BAT on ON. And even if I choose States \ on APU, on restarting the plane again BAT is ON.
Here the problem:
C: CDU Left \ Menu \ Setup \ Option \ page 2 \ Load Default panel \ EXEC button = Doesn’t work
Ultimately the Option function is inoperative and does not work. If you want I can attach for you the Cfg file, from Cold and Dark, tell me how if you want. In this cfg file, I can't find the battery??

Just attach the COLD AND DARK.cfg to your reply, and I can compare it to mine. Be aware that I copied the P3D\Captain_Sim\767-II\panel\basic\COLD AND DARK.cfg, created by CS, and installed with the 767 Captain II, and pasted it to P3D\Captain_Sim\767-II\panel\custom, then renamed it DEFAULT.cfg. That worked for me.
My usual  method is to load the 767 II into P3Dv4/v5, then after my default panel setting loads, I use the CDU and switch to the COLD AND DARK, and the 767 ends up in a cold and dark setting. I can't even access the CDU to do anything until after I've turned the Battery Switch ON.

Ok I'm attaching the original COLD AND DARK cfg panel from CS. What I want is to always have the 767 in Cold And Dark every time I load it into P3Dv5. I have this function with the another company 787, just like in real life. No point in switching it to Cold And Dark once you're on board.

Well I used your cold_and_dark_CS.txt (I renamed it DEFAULT.cfg), and it worked fine for me P3Dv4 (v4.5.14.34698). Here is the link  to the YouTube video of me doing that, and then testing it:

Hello Mark,
I come back after spending a lot of time buying some scenery for my P3Dv5, and I've seen your video. I did the same, and it's ok now..
Super thanks for your patience and help. Smiley
I find the 767 which I knew well, because I finished my pilot career on this plane.
One more thing, just a piece of information, with what software did you make this video, I'm trying to do the same. Before I had "FRAP" for FSX but it is not compatible with P3D 16 bits
Best regards
Dom

I recorded the video using Nvidia Georce Experience.
I used to use Fraps, then Screencast-O-Matic for a couple of years, but once I got Geforce Experience working, I switched to that.

Note. Captain Sim use Screencast-O-Matic - this allows you to create good videos too- seeing as I have Geforce Experience automatically saving the last 5  minutes of play (it does it for the desktop, as well as all games/flight sims), so I find it so easy to just hit Alt+F10 to save the recording of a problem (or funny happening).
