Any chance you might think of developing the B747-400.
After all it is the Queen of the Skies that brought global travel to the world and would complete your Boeing package.
I really REALLY would love a 747-400 by Captain Sim especially with the full Cabin as you have supplied with your 777. I fear I may never get to wonder around a 747 again, to be able to do so virtually is next best thing.

Doubt this would happen considering another company dominated this aircraft, but hey, worth a shot asking.  Smiley

Actually, Others.
And the "another one" with quite good quality and cheap price still struggleing, I don't think it's wise to intervene then.  Tongue

I'd vastly prefer a 747-100 or -200.  That would be far more interesting, and we know Captain Sim rocks it with the old analog birds!

Same here. I've been hoping for a 747-SP/100/200 from Captain Sim for years. Sad

That SP variant is a hoot!   I remember the first time I saw one from the observation deck at O'Hare in Chicago.  I was like what the heck is THAT??!!  It's like looking at a 747 through a funhouse mirror or something.

There are enough of these flying computers out there, with the real differences between most of them being how to program their particular FMC.

That can be interesting while you are learning a new system, but it has gotten rather tiresome for me after all this time.  I still fly my CS 727 and a certain "cool" DC-9 more than any of the myriad glass cockpit equipped planes I have.

Well there is a 100/200 coming from that other dev. Been in development for a couple years. Also has a 200F. Looks pretty good to me. But an SP would be nice. It will also have a 3d modelled interior cabin according to the product page.

Yes there is, and I have been keeping an eye on it, but I still think that Captain Sim would do a great job of it if they did it too. Like the L-1011, I have the other devs as well, but I prefer Captain Sim's version, and therefore I fly it more often. In fact, I rarely fly the other's L-1011. Wink

I don't have Captain Sim or other's L-1011 as its not really my thing but Captain Sim's definitely looks better from what I've seen. It would be interesting to see the two of them compete again.
I have a feeling we'll be getting the 727 next. Simply because its a gap in the market and insanely requested. We saw what happened with the 767. I even said in the P3Dv4 upgrade topic that they were probably making a 767 and they were. A lot of people want it, including me.

I would buy the 747-400 and the variant add-ons, as well as the 787 and variants. Capt. Sim makes a great product, and I am tired of the "one company" domination of another company.

I sincerely doubt CaptainSim is going to make a 747-400 when another company's is so entrenched

The best airplane for its day was that one with the marvelous tutorial, the tape instruments, wow that was fun. Cannot remember the name! And there is really no competition that I’m aware of. But the glass versions are indeed decent, and I bet CS will take its time before going back to any steam gauges I fear. I will renew my vote for short-legged birds. 737 or 727. But a 737-300? Sign me up!

I, like Dave above, agree the old school planes interest me more than the fancy computer planes. You really had to FLY the old planes so you had a lot more practice hand flying.  The crash in SFO a few years back in the 777 showed how little hand flying those pilots did.

I got to fly the TWA 747-SP a few times back when... with low fuel loads it was a hoot.  Most of my time was flying the 747-100 with the vertical tapes.  It was easy to fly and of course a huge cockpit. The old planes like the 727, 707 & the 747 were really noisy in the cockpit.  The 757/767 were really quite.  Most of the noise was wind noise.  I always wore hearing protection in the old birds.  If you flew the 727 above 300 knots it was very hard to talk.

The latest CS 757 cockpit is fantastic!  It flies like the real plane.  CS has put a lot of time and energy into making their planes as real as can be, and it shows.
