I have the same issue.  It happened to me on a flight to LEST which another developer has made the airport software.  The error only happened to me when flying to this airport.
I contacted the tech support for that airport and was told that the problem is I am running my sliders too high in my simulator.

hahahaha.  Why can't someone address the problem instead of trying to cover it up?

turn of this, rename that.....  that is a short term fix.

We ask for solutions to problems that have cropped up in newly release software.

When will we get answers?

And one more thing.....

We are told to delete, rename or change a certain .dll file.

Well, that new DLL file is part of the cost of the entire new software.  If it is flawed then we should get a small refund for that part of the software?

or

We should get a fix to the file (dll) that is causing the problem?

Just asking quetions.

I was having this same issue with HF2, no problems with HF1. Turns out that Riviatuner Server was running in the background and was installed when I first ran MSi Afterburner.  I removed it this morning, installed HF2 and no issues so far.

Same here with v0.99 and the 0.991HF1 installed. no issues in 0.98. I run a GTX1080Ti Games OC 11GB. No issues with another company A3XX or another company 737NGXu

That's not a fix at all but a diagnostic step.

I can confirm the same error ... so far renaming the Captain_Sim.glacs.dll to Captain_Sim.glacs.dll.off seems to prevent the error from returning.

Cheers, Rob.

Hello,

I can confirm I was receiving this CTD and error in the latest version of Prepar3D V5. I did as mentioned on this thread and renamed this file “Captain_Sim.glacs.dll“ to OFF and the CTD and error went away and the aircraft is now useable.

I believe this file is for the rain effects, is this likely to be addressed in a future update so we are able to have the rain effects without the CTD. The rain effects really add to the immersion for me.

Congratulations on your release of the 757 for V5. I look forward to flying it in V5.

Many thanks,

Jonathan

If you have the 757 pls try the Captain_Sim.glacs.dll from the 757 1.6.

Thanks for getting back to me. I do have the 757, I’ll update that tomorrow and hopefully it will work. Is it just a straight forward Copy from the 757 folder the 767 folder?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Hello,

I've done as advised and I'm still getting the crash which is a shame. Please can this be looked into.

Thanks,

Jonathan

Try to disable (rename) ...\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060\panel\Captain_Sim.glacs.dll file.

It works. Thanks.

Disabling the file also cured it for me.
