I am looking to buy the aircraft, but I would like to know if at the FMC, it is possible to at least manually insert the wind data into the fixed ones.

Thank you for checking.

Kind Regards

Full ACARS implemenetion

What exactly?

with route request and wind uplink

What route?
What wind?
RW references?
The more details you provide the more chances to see these features implemented in the future updates.

I'm not sure I understand your question fully CS.  But I think the idea is that the wind is downloaded from activesky for every waypoint in the flight plan.  This is how it's done on the other widebody aircraft in my virtual hangar.  So it would be for every route we fly.

CS the FMC needs a way to allow for key weather data to be updated:

ACARS interfaces with flight management systems (FMS), acting as the communication system for flight plans and weather information to be sent from the ground to the FMS. This enables the airline to update the FMS while in flight, and allows the flight crew to evaluate new weather conditions or alternative flight plans.

1) legs page winds and Decent winds

Just activesky?
How's that gonna benefit those who don't use activesky?

You just need to program the FMS in a way that it can read the another company .wx file, it's been the standard for enroute wind import now for... idk like 5 years? Many more companies than another company use the another company format and file location to import wind data.

I genuinely cannot, at this point, name a major commercial product that doesn't have this feature when the RW equivalent does. If a major European aircraft developer can manage this at a lower price point, you can too.

This topic is not about what 'we can' or 'we can't'. It's about what EXACTLY ppl want.
Again, the more details you provide the more chances to see these features implemented in the future updates.

References like 'company X has it' are of no use.

Dear CaptainSim instead of asking us what and how, why don't you look at these FMS features in popular competitive products.  Sounds like you are looking at a reason not to do it....

We would like to be able to have realworld weather pulled from whichever the software or online databank for weather into the FMC which would give better descent profiles and flight time estimates.

Many people are not using Activesky and Rex to name two 3rd parties.

Yes there are those who don't use them, but I am sure you can find others based on your market research to come up with it.

Simbrief is now another well-used program (predecessor PFPX [Which I personally still use in conjunction with Simbrief]) . Can it be that from there (SB) we can get all weather in whatever format the FMC reads and just upload from that in the CORTE for example.

There is a folder for flights specific to your aircraft, but we cannot use the CORTE function.

I have said a lot and I hope it wasn't confusing. Just trying to respond to saying "what we want".

If anything else pops up I will be sure to add. (BTW, this request is for both the 757 & 767  Smiley )

Thanks for considering this though. It is really appreciate it.

+1 for me, and I know this is the 767 discussion, but I would like this for the 57 as well.

You have a great addon, but I feel like wind uplink is almost required at this price point.

I would like to add, although most of the people who use this are the moderate to more hardcore simmer, most of us are not professional pilots.

We do not have the massive resources of a Part 121 OP with their own briefing office and ancillary support stuff. Although we have Simbrief and AS, some are using REX, and some don't WX addons at, it's tedious to manually input weather data. Especially if you are flying Transatlantic or Transpacific where you may have a 50-60 W/P plan.

There is a time when you have to compromise real world usage with the restraints of a simulator, and say "hey we should provide this for the people who want this functionality."

Also, anyone using a 67 these days has wind uplink, because time is money, and an airplane sitting on the ground does not make money.
