Possible 767-400 expansion in the future?

When talking about flight sim, we’ve all seen the 767 be done before in other sims. And it is GREAT to finally be seeing the 767 return to P3D. However, the -400 has always felt neglected to me. Whether that is in the 32 bit sims, XP11 or P3D, I just feel it is completely neglected. So I was wondering, would it be possible to see it as an expansion (or separate product as I will explain)?

Now, while most of the 767 family shares a lot of stuff between them, the 767 doesn’t - a reason I feel it’s always neglected since it’s very different. Some would argue it’s a miniature 777 - it has the cockpit, the winglets and other less noticeable features. So that being said, would there be the possibility of an expansion for it later down the road? No matter what the answer is, this plane is definitely on my wish list to get at some point this year. But I would love the -400, even if it was a separate product or the expansion was sold at a base product price due to the enormous differences.

+1 would also love to see the 764! 2 major airlines here in the states, United and Delta fly them actively. It's such a unique model of the 767. Am really hoping for a -400 model as a future expansion!!

Yeah. There's also the fact that the first plane I ever flew on was a United 764 (N66057), so the plane holds a very special place in my heart. Smiley

I would love to see a 767-400ER expansion. In fact, I would rather have a -400ER expansion then a -200 expansion. There are very few 767-200 passenger aircraft still flying, and the -400ER will continue to be flown by UAL and DAL well into the future.

The 764 is also my absolute favourite 76 model! Would gladly pay handsomely in order for it to make an appearance in our sims!

I hope the -400 is on the horizon as well. I’m fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to fly the -400, though unfortunately they’re currently parked awaiting a hopefully expeditious return to service. It’s a great airplane though admittedly I think the -300 flies a little better. The -400 isn’t quite as snappy in roll like the -300 is, but overall it flies very nicely. Boeing definitely got the 767 right in that regard with the 757 being a close second.

Mind you, the 767-200/200ER is my favourite 767.
But I won't let that stop you guys from pushing for the 767-400, you all deserve to have the one you like best. Wink Cheesy Grin

The -200 was an absolute rocket ship!  Even puts the 757 to shame in that regard.

We're off topic a bit now, but I'll finish it by saying that I love the 767-200ER because of it's range, and both the -200, -200ER because I think they look really really nice. Grin

I had the opportunity to fly on a 764 from LFPG-KATL and visit the flight deck. Seems like a very nice ride and would love to see it in the sim. I had heard in fact that the reason why the 764 has the "rakelets" as they were described to me was because of DAL's wish to fly the -400ER into KLGA. Boeing was originally going to put use the blended winglets design created by Aviation Partners, but changed them to the rakelets as a result of this wish.

Interesting. I had heard that the -400 could operate into LGA but wasn’t sure if it ever did. I fly for the “other” -400 operator and we use ours (used, I guess  Cry ) on routes to Europe and South America that needed more capacity than the -300 but didn’t necessitate a 777 or 787. I was fortunate enough to fly EWR-MUC on IOE and it was a great ride. Since the -400 pays more than the -300 at my airline, that was my only trip with it. Sadly they’re all or mostly all in Roswell, NM right now. Though I will get a day in the -400 sim next month when I go to training.  Smiley

Any possibility that this variant can be considered for a future expansion CS?

So about 12 hours ago, I saw CS put a poll up for an -400 exterior only expansion - while this is a step in the right direction for all of us, if we were to see the -400 in the sim, I would really love for it to be done properly because the -400 is an amazing plane and really deserves to be done correctly with a fully modelled VC, interior and exterior, as well as the flight model and systems.
