A/T in turbulent cruise

With few flight recently, I find that when cruising in moderate turblence, the A/T will send my CRZ speed up to like 0.84~0.85 while FMC command to M0.80, a little close to redline. (for light turb, it's like0.82~0.83, still higher.
While the manual says the A/T will go higher speed in turblence with command speed of VREF+5 and landing flaps, I'm not sure if it's the correct behaivor for 757 in cruise. as my experence in 737(with same phrease said for appraoch), it keeps an average CRZ speed pretty well up to some moderate turblence.
