iPad 777 Connect Issue - Won't connect to FSX

So I just purchased the 777 captain, and 777 connect last night. After having issues with the installers, I was able to get both successfully installed. Though I followed the instructions on the website for how to run the 777 CDU on an iPad, I am still unable to get my iPad to connect to the sim software. I am running FSX:SE, and I have the iPad 6 on iOS 12.4.1. Both are connected to the same wireless network, and both display successful connections. Under addons in the menu bar for FSX, I see 777 connect, and it displays the IP and port number, but the iPad still displays a "disconnected" message next to flight sim connection. Please help!! The app and plane look so good together and I really just want to be able to use them both!!

Thanks in advance!

1) Do you have Bonjour Service installed on your PC?
https://support.apple.com/kb/dl999?locale=en_US

2) Check your network connections:
Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections

if you use network connections for example for virtual machines, VPN, or multiple network connections, please disable them and leave your primary network connection.
