Updating INS

Hello,
Just wanted to check in. When updating the INS via DME, how do I get it into that mode?
I'm aware both the numbers 7 and 9 need to be depressed but I can't seem to get them both down to change it into the correct mode.
Is there a CS bespoke tutorial on this?
Cheers,
Peter

There is no DME alignment, so the way to do the manual position updating of the INS (after it has drifted during flight), is described in the ‘1011 Captain’ MANUAL Part II – Aircraft and Systems (cs1011_manual2.pdf), on pages 195 & 196.

Same here, the update process does not work.At the point
where you introduce the coordinates, the process fails.I was
unable to enter the coordinates

If you're having trouble updating the INS, you can use the hidden shortcut keys (click on REMOTE, then click on  the #3 key) so  you don't need to update it.

Last time I did a manual update, it was awkward, but it worked.

Hi,
I now succeeded in succesfully updating the INS.The manual
contains a statement that leads to confusion though:it says to
put the nav selector on NAV,when it should be to put Thi on
VOR.This led me to put the autopilot from heading to nav, which,of course did not work.If you put the nav selector on VOR,coming
from FMS,all works out fine.
This once more convinces me or the quality of this superior
software8
