Sound Problems.

Hi again,
Can somebody help me to solve my Sound Problem ?!
It seems like  "c:\FSX\Captain_Sim\737\sound\*.*"  can not be activated. These are the klick-klacks button/switch sounds. Also the "No Smoking" and "Fasten Seatbelts" sounds. The other sounds in:  "c:\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B737-200\sound\*.*  " like engine sounds etc. are working well.
I re-install the 737-200. I checked the FSX (sound) menu's. So now I don't know anymore what to do ...

Regards, Guus.

I can't give you an answer if I don't know how to fix the problem, and I'm not having that problem myself either.

All I can think of telling you to try, is to reinstall the 737-200 Base Pack making sure that your AV is OFF when you do it.

Does anyone know the individual sound file names of "seat belts" and "no smoking" and "APU-start"?
Maybe these are corrupt! So I can replace it.

If they are corrupt, just run the installer, and do a repair, and that should fix them.

Otherwise. If you want to adjust them, and want to know the name of the wave file, go to the FSX/P3D\Captain_Sim\737\sound folder, and the FSX/P3D\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B737-200\sound folder, double click on each .wav file so you can find which ones are the ones you want to adjust.

Hi [Mark]

Thank you for your contributions!
I have done a "Repair" & also installed the "CS 737-200" again! Unfortunately both without resolving the problem ...
Earlier this week I discovered that my ENTIRE SubDir. : "c: \ FSX \ Captain_Sim \ 737 \ sound \ *. *" is NOT recognized! ALL the sounds that I listened piece by piece I do NOT hear in "De Cockpit"! These are the sounds of: Moving switches - warning signals - starting APU - etc.
The "Engine Sounds" those are located in: "c: \ FSX \ SimObjects \ Airplanes \ CS_B737-200 \ sound \ *. *" ARE recognized OK and therefore I hear in "De Cockpit"!
Is something "wrong" with the ... 737 \ sound \ sound.ini file? WHY does FSX not recognize the ... 737 \ sound \ *. * ! That is the question ...

Sincerely,
Guus Dekker.

I don't know why it's not being recognised. Try running FSX as an administrator - right click on the FSX shortcut, and select "Run as administrator" from the list that pops up. See if that fixes the sound problem.

Thanks for the link. I still can't get it to work I think its a problem with my computer not the mod/dlc. I think I will just have to live with it. If anyone else has any ideas I would love to hear from you but it's still a fantastic aircraft to fly and at least I have engine sounds lol. Keep up the great work captainsim!

Hi friends.
Editing the dll.xml file helped me

For example, I attach a screenshot.

The file itself is located c: \ users \ ... \ AppData \ roaming \ microsoft \ fsx \

The main thing is to specify the correct path in the dll to your simulator and exclude all spaces!

I have it like this:

  <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>Captain Sim Sound</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
    <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Captain_Sim\bin\cs.sound.dll</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>

  Good luck!
  I hope this helps you guys!
