FSX No landing or taxi lights
Jan 2nd, 2019 at 2:46pm
Print Post
Hello,
Since purchase and installation of the 757 III, I have been unable to see the taxi or landing lights on the ground when they are on. I am using FSX, and have the corresponding setting enabled in the settings menu for landing lights to show on the ground.
This occurs with all liveries and models.
The landing light intensity is set to low.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Tom

How about the REGUAR setting?

Nope, still the same for the regular setting.
Landing lights on other other Precision Manuals and another company planes also work, for the record.

Just re-checked, all lights are OK (classic FSX lights: hardly visible, no 3D)
If you got NO LL at all pls try to reinstall: https://www.captainsim.org/forum/csf.pl?num=1534366437

I have reinstalled, and the below screenshot is immediately after installation and with only the PW base pack and no extra liveries installed. Both the landing and taxi lights were on in this photo.

I checked mine in FSX, and FSX-SE, and the Taxi Lights and Landing Lights show on the ground (external view (F11)).

Out of curiosity, the Menu > Settings > Display > Aircraft (Tab) > Exterior settings > Aircraft landing-lights illuminate ground is checked (a tick placed in the box)? Mine is.

Hello,
Any updates/ideas? It's been a few days now, and the product does still not work as advertised.
Cheers,
Tom

Well, just 2 people report the issue so that's must be something rare and very system specific. Do you see LL on other aircraft?

Yes, I have landing lights on other planes. They are:
  • another company A320 family
  • A2A C172 trainer
  • another company PA28 Warrior II

However, I also have the another company Twin Otter, on which the landing lights do not show.

That's must be something your system specific. Unfortunately we cannot help because we cannot replicate the issue.
