auto brakes does not work

The autobrakes are working fine for me.
When you first turn them on, the Autobrake Disarm light comes on, if it stays on, the autobrakes won't work!
What I do, is turn the autobrakes on (any setting (MIN/MED/MAX)), then off, then back on, and the Autobrake Disarm light goes out, and the autobrakes work fine.
