Captains,
The upcoming 757 Freighter Expansion will include the -200PF, -200PCF and -200SF variants.

What cargo management features would you like to see?

This has already been brought up in another thread, but I wanted to post it here again:

Some freighter 757s have glass cockpits/avionics installed. It would make a nice addition to the upcoming 757 freighter (and surely to the existing 757 options... Cheesy). It would be amazing if it was a free update Wink

Completely agree...that would be awesome to have the glass cockpit and avionics.

I like the newer cargo loader. The type that is used in the L-1011 Freighter and the 777 Freighter. At least you don't need to change the ULD weights in the ACE, you just changer it in the cargo loader panel.

Since most of the cargo birds are outside of the terminal, can we get maybe a ground power unit next to the aircraft as an option to see on the ground? I think will be cool, just my recommendation. Thanks.

I think the loader is not necesary, as long as it works along side with GSX(i mean, developed to work with it) and you have easy options to work with through the FMC/ACE.

I would spend those bites using other animations like:

- Water comming out from....
- Servicing vehicles....
- Internal realistic lighting(seen from outside)
- Definitely nicely detailed stairs(working stairs), cones and chocks as normal, may be id add some other crazy surprises to it...  Wink
- Inspection Paltforms like this.  May be for the wings? or APU?   Nice addition for ground statiorany periods.
- Maintenance personnel working on Engines or tires, or looking at the cargo load... may be animated...
- Animated personnel around(Not the pilots, cause GSX is going to add moving pilots entering to the cabin)...

Cheesy

Do GSX loaders update the aircraft's weight while they handle the cargo?
They are just an animation, aren't they?

I know the FSLabs and GSX have some dynamic features, like fuel and passengers, but not sure about specifically cargo aircraft.

Could you model a GPU when you select ground power in the external view?

Also would love windscreen rain effects

Just animation, its only on the FSlabs where they effect the weights during boarding/deboarding.

All CS loaders effect the weights realtime, that's the main reason we make them.

...the ammount of loaded cargo effect GSX`s animation, ex if the plane have only a light wight, then there is only a short loading animation, with less cargo containers coming with the carriers.

And that is the point. GSX is *ONLY an animation of placing the amount of cargo in the aircraft, it does not actually make any changes to the cargo in the flight sim program (Fuel and Payload > Payload), whereas the CS Cargo Loader does.

* Except for at least FSLabs it seems.

Are you sure? GSX *does* change the weight, at least during unloading.
Once empty it removes all payload weight from your aircraft.

It does not change the pax/cargo weight after I use it to unload the 757 III, or any other aircraft that I've tried it with. It's the same in both P3Dv4 and FSX-SE. Seeing as I have not bought the GSX Level 2 Expansion yet, I can't say whether it does, or does not, change the weights of the aircraft, but GSX on its own, does not.

Good Morning

I cannot wait for the freighter version, hopefully B4 X-mas.

It would be nice to be able to load the cargo & fuel via the FMC please?

Just my $1.50 and THKS for a G8 aircraft just love it!

Regards

I would have to assume that the fuel will be able to be loaded via the CDU, like we do it in the 757 III (after all, why would they want to remove it?), but I can't say whether it will be same for the cargo. That might still be needed to be done with the cargo loader (like the way it's done for the 777).

Personally, I would prefer the cargo loader from the CS 777 (I remember voting in a poll for it, but I think I was in the minority for that idea. Sad

No worries, Mark Wink
Something tells me we'll get both options, the loader and the FMC.

Maybe you have to do some rework to the highloader. Would be nice to have the Champ 350  Cheesy.

https://trepel.com/products/cargo-high-loader/champ-350/

The upper plattform is normally bigger then the container.

Or is the highloader from GSX?

And can you maybe add a option to place a weight on the front gear?

The 757F has its own highloader which provides actual realtime load management rather than just a dummy animation.

Will the loader be designed in a way where you can load the pallets manually or automatically? For example, with the previous loaders, it required manually taking the time to load each pallet. If one is in a rush, it can be time consuming. However, it would be great if one can select the total weight of the cargo and then the animation for loading will be done automatically until all the required pallets are loaded. Perhaps the user can also select where each pallet is loaded on the aircraft or it can be down automatically.

Manually of course. Cargo management simulation is the only point of the loader.
