I know PFPX should be placed here:
D:\P3Dv4\Captain_Sim\navigation\routes

But not sure what format it should be. pl or rt files?

I'm not sure if there is some other format to export and how to do it...  When I use the standard PFPX export and then CDU RTE REQUEST SEND the loaded waypoint names all say "cannot read".

Thanks

Ok, answering my own question in case this helps someone searching for the same...

I was able to successfully read a PFPX flightplan into the CDU by normal Export from PFPX to Prepar3d (<Documents>\Prepar3D v4 Files) and then in the CDU reading the flightplan using:
RTE,
[LSK3] REQUEST SEND,
[RSK6] FLTSIM FPLS

The key here is not to try to read the PFPX flightplan directly as a CO ROUTE, but as an IMPORT FS FPL.

I'm hoping there will be a way to load a PFPX generated flightplan as a CO Route so that SIDS and STARS load as such instead of just waypoints as they do when you load a FS flightplan.

I never save a flight plan with the SID or STAR, only the the main route between the departure and arrival airports. That applies to routes I create in the default Flight Planner, FSC9, or PFPX. It always seems to work better if I add them to the route after I've loaded them.

The trade off is that default ATC won't know about your SID or STAR if you do it that way.  That's why I usually load my SID/STAR in PFPX.

And they do if you create a route with SID and STAR in PFPX?
Just asking because PFPX has been uninstalled for quite a while, so obviously I haven't used it lately.

Hi,

There is a strange issue importing flightplans when using PFPX for flightplaning.
The route flightplan is just partially loaded in to the FMC, ie its just the departing airports SID that is imported.

From the last waypoint in the SID I have to manually insert all waypoints all the way to the destination airport.

Anyone else having this strange behavior?

I am using P3D v 4.2 and latest hotfix installed

PFPX flight plan import error

So after uploading my flight plan to the FMC, I see errors 1 error 1, error 1 and so on instead of my actual way points. Am I doing something wrong? The flight plan was created with PFPX. Thanks.

Has PFPX updated their exporting of Captain Sim routes to the 757 III .rt format yet? If not, that's why you get an error when loading the route you created with it. Try saving the PFPX as a standard P3Dv4 Flight Planner route, then load it in the CDU.

To answer your question, I am not sure. The image posted shows Captainsim export option, though I am not sure what models its for. So I decided just to point t to CS routes folder. In any case, I will try what you suggested. Thank you.
