CS B-52 and P3Dv4.2

Hi all!

So, I know that many aircraft don't install gracefully in P3Dv4.2, but I've got to ask anyways.
I've heard someone say that our beloved CS B-52 does in fact work in v4.2. Yes, the radar is borked and can't be used, or it is possible to replace it with the HUD-gauge from the F-35 (I did that in v3.4 and it worked without a hitch)
I've tried to install the B-52 Driver in v4.2, basically by manually moving files and folder from a standard FSX install into the P3Dv4.2 folder structure, and I get as far as the aircraft loading up, the replacement Radar gauge (HUD) works, all the liveries show up, and everything seems good.

With one exception: The engines won't light up.
I've tried ALL the different procedures that I've read online to get the engines going, but no dice. None of the methods, whether through the keys or via the VC buttons and knobs work. They spool up to about 20 %, then the spooling stops and starts over again. I contiues to loop until I switch of the start buttons.
So I'm thinking there's sure to be something I've done wrong (aside from installing it into a sim it is not meant for), a file I've forgotten or something. If someone actually has it working in v4.2, that is....

My question is, has anybody here been able to get it to run in v4.2, and if so, was there any special trick to get it working?

Sorry, I don't use P3D v4.2 (I use v3.4), but maybe I nevertheless can help you Smiley

For the first impression I would say there is a problem with the Fuelsystem. Check all the responsible Fuel valves.

Have you tried to load a Standard 4-Engine Aircraft with running engines first, and then switch to the B-52? What happens then?

I gave it a try, and nothing I did got the engines started either. Seeing as the B-52 Driver isn't compatible with P3Dv4, I'm not really surprised that it doesn't work.

Starting another aircraft first with all engines running unfortunately makes no difference. The engines wind down immediately upon loading the B-52.

And yeah, it isn't compatible with P3Dv4, so no surprise. Having said that, someone on the FB P3Dv4 forums said they had gotten it running in v4, but I've yet to get a response from that person as to how he got it working.

But oh my, how I wish for a new version....

Hopefully we will get an upgraded version for P3Dv4, but it could be a long way down the track. Sad
