I don't use a fuel planner. I use the CDU as a guide, then take into account the weather (using ASN for real weather ) I'll be encountering along the route. I add extra fuel for for prolonged flight in headwinds. I'm able to complete flights by doing it that way.

this is strange because on the Original Boeing CBT for 767 crews they put the loaded fuel into the CDU from a pre-flight preparation calculations, the CDU doesn`t calculate the fuel you need for the route, this belongs to the flight prepartion (also depends from the Distance of your diversive airfields...(normally 180 min on ETOPS flights).

Maybe so, but the CDU shows the remaining fuel upon arrival (PROF page), without the wind affect, If I'm going into a headwind, I increase the fuel to account for that, with a tailwind I normally have it at a 5,000 lbs, or 10,000 lbs more than the expected amount upon arrival.

I do it that way because none of the fuel planners I got my hands on were accurate enough with the Captain Sim 767-200ER/300ER, so it's really only a workaround for the problem. Undecided

Note. I can't share those fuel planners as I no longer have them because the HDD they were saved on failed. Sad

I second Simbrief, it has always worked well with the CS 767.
