CTD (crash to desktop)

On all CTDs please provide at least the following info:

1. Your system specs.

2. Screenshot or a text copy of the full error message.

3. How long was the flight before the CTD?

4. Position/flight stage at the CTD? (e.g. FL200 VNAV descend)

5. What was the last thing you did (e.g. turned smth ON/OFF, used the sim menu etc) before CTD?

We've moved all older CTD reports to this topic, all who reported before the 10JAN please provide the info above.
Thanks.

Crash to desktop when clicking on the small airplane icon on the Shift+2 mini panel. Also happened to a twitch streamer.

CTD after using Animations control panel. If I open this at anytime during pre-flight, I will get a CTD. It does seem random based on time (usually around 1-2 hours into the flight), but it will happen. I cannot really provide more information for the CTD at the current time. I will see if I can get an appcrash file info if it happens again.

So I am getting a CTD after several hours of flight (doing a transatlantic run). I seem to be getting them most of the time regardless of the flight.

When I look at the eventviewer it is an ntdll.dll error. Everything I have read is that this is Nvida driver related.

I know this is rather vague and I would be happy to provide more information but first I would like to do a few more tests, What I am curious about is what is the most stable driver that you all have been using?

I was running the most up to date driver with little success and so I rolled it back and the CTD still happened but came a little later. Perhaps it is unrelated but this aircraft isn't the first aircraft to give me this error, it is just the one giving it to me right now. Typically there is a nvida driver that works best.

I have tried 4 flights, all have ended in a CTD during descent with pause on TOD turned off. I have not been able to relate it to any single action. I was changing the baro once when it happened, while this last time I was not doing anything in the sim and it had an inexplicable CTD. I am going to try an uninstall and clean install to see what happens.

Hang and non responsive GND control on engine startup. Aircraft would not initiate the engine start in either engine regardless of APU air, external packs off, isolation valve was also on.

After countless attempts to start engines with no response the sim hanged and CTD.

Also had this issue, but it only occurred once out of many test flights.

Unable to fly, multible CTD's

Hi,

I've installed the CS757 in P3D v4.1 and tried to make a flight. Cockpit preparation works fine, FMC inputs without any problems. My first flight was ending after passing 10,000ft while trying to switch off the landing lights.

The second try ended with a CTD at the holding point of the runway and the third during taxing to the runway.

I thought it was something with the lights (CTD was nearby swithing them on or off). I turned off dynamic lighting but next flight was also killed by CTD.

My P3D works fine with other aircrafts. I did the same flight I've tried with the CS757 with my other 737 and it works fine until the end.

Any ideas what could cause these CTD's?

Best regards,
Frank

Hello,
Ive done 3 flights so far with the 757 and 2 out of the 3 flights have resulted in a CTD. It's interesting because they were both going into Blueprint's KDTW but the first one happened at 18000 ft and I couldn't even see Detroit yet. Second happened to me on a downwind leg. I checked the event viewer and no error log. On both of these flights I did reload the aircraft before takeoff could this screw something up?

Any Ideas?
Robbie

would be a great programme if I were able to get it to work more than 20 min without a ctd.  This is the only add-on which I have experienced this problem in 4.1

Maybe another 3rd party addon for P3Dv4 is causing a conflict with the 757 Captain III. The only 3rd party addons I use in P3Dv4, are a few other aircraft (only Captain Sim, Carenado, and Alebao at this time).

CTD after Go around.

I flew from LOWS to EDDM. After the go around, I inserted direct MUN VOR into the CDU, then the sim crashed.

Before the go around, I inserted a a holding pattern over MUN

I can replicate this problem every time now when entering a star and press execute on a flight from eggw to birk,
select approach for ils loc z 13, use elgin for fix and it will crash every time. i have attached cfg file from save just prior.

I have pinned down the problem with CTD. It is all to do with CDU inputting a star and runway. I can reproduce it every time.

use FP below from EGGW to BIRK.
OLNEY T420 WELIN UT420 TNT UL28 RODOL UP6 REMSI DCT GOMUP DCT 57STN DCT ALDAN DCT VM

select a star for BIRK and runway 19 and a CTD will happen even on the ground within a few minutes or immediately.
