Captains,
There's always room for improvement so feel free to report any issues but:

0. Please make sure you have read the Manual. 740+ handmade pages describing thousands of hard-coded features. Great reading.

1. Please report an issue if you are 100% sure it is a bug. Not sure? Please use General Discussion

2. Please use proper threads. E.g. do not post MCP issues in the FMC thread.

3. One issue ONE post, please.

4. Please provide a reference to the Manual page #.
CS Manual is based on the original Boeing's FCOM. For obvious reasons we cannot do all operators optional equipment variants.
It's not a bug if it's not in the Manual.

In some cases we can consider a reference to an operator's official Manual or CBT.
But any info from a third party software or from personal experience IS NOT a reference material.

Also the Manual reference page # is absolutely required for all flight related and performance comments as we cannot work with the "slower-faster" kind of data. Official Boeings' numbers are absolutely required.

5. Please provide screenshots and/or screen capture videos for each issue.
Easy to use free services:
- For the screenshots: https://onpaste.com/
- For the videos:  https://screencast-o-matic.com/
Also you can attach an image to your forum post.

6. For all flight related floating issues (FMC, MCP, VNAL/LNAV etc) please SAVE the flight right on the issue, zip all 3 files of the flight (.fxml  .wx  .config) located ....\Users\you\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files\ , upload the zip to any free hosting service (e.g. Google disc) and include the URL into your report.

COMPLETE AND CORRECT REPORTS WILL BE FORWARDED TO THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM.

CS developers will make marks and comments right in your post as follows:

- The red AIIR# mark in your post means: sounds like a bug but Additional Information Is Required indicating the numbers as per the list above.

- The blue SW means: Should work. So we need more users to confirm the issue.

- Highlight means the items is on the list.

Developers comments are in magenta.

Please DO NOT use any text color/effect other than plain black.

Thank you all for your input!

Is there any way to adjust the wind noise? On takeoff the wind was over powering.

Please try: ...\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B757-200-III_PW2037\sound\sound.cfg

// Wind Sounds ________________________________________________________________

[WIND_SOUND]
filename=TSS-WIND
flags=0
viewpoint=1
minimum_speed=190.00
maximum_speed=500.00
minimum_volume=0
maximum_volume=10000
minimum_rate=0.85
maximum_rate=1.40

Should there be internal and external APU sound?

It's a system controlled sound so VC only.

Engine sounds remained on after engine shutdown and APU shutdown. Also, the sounds could only be heard from in front of the engines, not behind. i have a video but unable to share because of the "10 posts" rule. Thanks!

Just lowered to 3 posts.

Are the switches, APU, have animations sounds ?
I uninstalled and re installed the aircraft and the only sounds  I hear are the engines and the  wind ones ! Any help or instructions ? Thanks  Huh

So far you are the only one with no system sound. Wе suspect your SB card is the reason. Let's wait for more reports.

Please try this tool meanwhile.

No sounds on autopilot knobs turning... Have other switch sounds on overhead even if they're quiet.

What are the knobs # as per the manual pls?

Those who have sound issues - please try this tool

Firstly that exe points to P3D v2???

Disregard pls, that was for Coqui297

My sound issue isn't all sounds missing from cockpit, it's certain ones not being there... notably autopilot knobs - no scroll sound?

I'm having some clipping sounds (crackels) during the flight. Is there any way to lower the gain?

I am not using the system sound card. I am using a USB corded Plantronics Headphone set. Anyway, will try the tool, check my sound systems and report back. Thanks !

So all autopilot knobs on the mcp have no sound. Same with DH knobs, HSI, speed brakes, stab trim, wx radar, radios among a lot more. It looks like anything with selected positions like autobrakes and wiper has sound but the dials no produceo el soundo. But apu sound works but no sounds on the animations like opening the cabinet or moving the seat but the windows open and close sound  is fine.

In short: not a bug.

Long version:
There are 536 sounds in the cockpit besides the engines.

You can adjust a volume of each of them in:
...\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Captain_Sim\757-III\sound.ini
Use Volume=X.XX (anything from 0.00 to 1.00)

If you don't like any sound you can replace it in ...\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Captain_Sim\757-III\sound\ folder.

If something does not have a sound at all (e.g. the cabinet door or the mute controls) that means we think it does not produce enough sound to be modeled.

Can you tell me then what files the autopilot knobs use
We'll list the internal system names in the SDK.
Meanwhile you'd try to find them, all MCP staff names starts with G (e.g. G01_001_BUT)

then so I can raise or replace these sounds as if I'm honest even if I turn down the volume there is literally no scroll sound and having spent substantial time on similar flight decks these scroll knobs do make a slight noise and with lack of physical touch the sound is only immersive feedback we have in a sim.

Thanks for advising of the sound file and the filename idea, here are my findings:

There are no sounds for Window Wipers - these are quite loud in Real Life

No sounds for the turn knobs on MCP, Brightness adjustments for lighting or radio stack knobs.
OTL

These sounds are quite tactile effect and really add to the immersion, their ommission is unfortunately quite obvious when compared to fuller soundpacks - although there are '536 sounds' in the cockpit they're linking to the same files so there is a limit here and not so much complaint about switch and buttons as they're fine... its the knobs!  Tongue

If you're able to even use placeholder sounds for these as right now I'm unable to even edit and add in my own wiper or knob sounds as they don't exist.

Thanks! I know I've posted a tonne in the past 24 hours but it's in the hope that we can make this a brilliant and must have addition and to set a great foundation to then release the RR,300 and F models on.  Wink
