"PRESS" does not illuminate on CTR L&R FUEL PUMPS when CTR fuel tanks are empty and their respective FUEL PUMPS are ON.

Hey guys, i'm on 1.2 and it seems like when the aircraft is on .83 to .85, it seems to be stutter on the cockpit. I don't know if it just my camera or the plane. It's normal when i'm on mach .82 or less.

Also, why the engine on the PW is so weak? My TO power is lower than the CLB power and this is without derated. MY TO was  1.29 and my CLB was 1.32

DME only stations issue
Print Post
I am unable to recieve DME only stations. VOR/DME's are indicated normally, but for DMEs the reading is not displayed.

In the below example I am in Hamburg EDDH/HAM and I have tuned Alster DME in NAV1 and HAMburg VOR in NAV2. As you can see I get the HAM indications (both the VOR and the DME part), but no DME from Alster in NAV1.
Unfortunately EDDH does not have ILS/DME stations, so being able to use the Alster DME is crucial.
Please fix this asap with an hotfix Captainsim.

See manual page 280 for reference to the system.

Ps.: I also tested the same airport with other aircraft to make sure it is not a scenery issue. It works fine in other aircraft so it definitely is a Captainsim issue.

I think it should be displaying about 0.6nm. At least that's what I see on the Beech Baron 58 (00.6 actually) when on the start of runway 33, but only on NAV 1. If I set NAV 2 to 115.80, I see nothing on the DME gauge, however, I think that's because the NAV 2 only displays two digits, and I don't see the decimal point (NAV 1 display 3 digits and the decimal point), or anything following it, or anything that would follow it, if it was there. Undecided

Note. None of the RMI needles, on the Beech Baron 58, move when the corresponding NAV is set to 115.80!

Thank you for your answer Mark! You are absolutely right about what should be shown and your test in the Baron confirms that the station at the airport in the simulator is actually working.

Could you please try this in the 757 and post a screenshot of the working distance readout in this scenario?

When I load the flight in EDDH and tune 115.80 I get no DME indication at all, regardless of the radio used.
Please see these pictures, the first is the 757 with both radios tuned to 115.80 and the second is the Baron with the same frequency tuned.
You can see the 757 does NOT show a DME reading while the Baron does.

I am aware the needles do not move since this is a DME only without the VOR part.
The issue in fact is limited only to DME stations which do not include a VOR or LOC. At VOR/DME's and ILS/DME's it's working fine, only at stations which do not include a VOR or LOC the CaptainSim 757 does not indicate a distance readout. FIXED
In my opinion this clearly indicates a bug as the comparison to the default Baron shows.
You can try this with any station in the simulator, the issue is always the same.

I should have said in my previous reply that I had already tested it in the 757 III, and I didn't get any readout of the distance to the DME. That's why I posted about the Beech Baron 58's DME gauge showing the reading of 00.6nm.

I knew that the RMI needles weren't moving because it's DME only - You stated that in your original post.

I'll start this off by saying I fly the 757 for a major US airline that uses the PW2037...I use the CS 757 III to stay familiarized in operations

A couple of things:

VNAV/EPR
I've noticed several times when I use EPR to get to my cruise flight level via VNAV the Cruise EPR Max is significantly lower than what it should be, not allowing the aircraft to achieve its cost index speed...More often than not I'm having to hit CON on the thrust selection panel to do so...

For example an Cost index of 89 with EPR at a GW of 195k lbs should easily allow me to achieve FL340 with Mach .80 for VNAV Cruise...yet the Max EPR is only allowing me to fly at .76...there is something in the thrust coding that is not right with this...please address so i don't continuously have to keep hitting CON at 34k feet to fly faster than .76 with a very low GW for the 757

Cosmetic things...

On the over head Comm Panel:
When any of the Cabin Call, Ground Call, FLT INT are selected, they turn blue...this does not happen. Specifically FLT INT is always selected on and has a Blue Light lit

On the overhead Air Panel:
Most 757's the Left Recirc fan is a guarded switch, it varies by airline though...but it always is supposed to remain on per Boeing

The Center Panel Next to Captains VSI: I've only seen Reserve Brakes...not Reserve Brakes and Steering (RB&S is a 767 thing)

OVERALL:

Great job, Severly Enhances my ability to familiarize with the aircraft

Is this fix available for FSX ? The link is for P3Dv4

Trevor

I would say it's only for P3Dv4. When I ran the installer, it only listed Prepar3D v4 for installation, not FSX, FSX-SE, or P3Dv3, and I have the 757 III 32bit version as well.

Thank you, the fix works perfectly for P3Dv4!
